About the Hotel

Where does royalty stay when the palace is being redecorated? Queen Margherita of Savoy chose the Regina Hotel Baglioni on the Via Veneto in Rome. This elegant Art Nouveau style hotel features period accents such as marble columns and Oriental carpets, while guest rooms and suites are truly palatial in their rich appointments and antique furnishings. Fine Mediterranean and international cuisine in a formal setting define the memorable dining experience offered at Le Grazi.

Hit and miss

Good location, clean rooms, great breakfast staff but no temperature control and rooms facing the road have high traffic noise. Room was hot but opening the window for air would be way too noisy. We changed rooms (as well as heavy road noise, the shower didn’t drain in the first one). Our next room at the back, 7th floor was quiet. Breakfast buffet has wide offerings and omelettes and crepes can be ordered. Breakfast staff are attentive. I was given a cappuccino that was bitter and made with more steam than milk so never drank it—didn’t have time to order another. Doors are heavy and doorman didn’t always open them, too busy chatting with reception staff, and I hurt my wrist opening it myself. 6/10.

Exceptional Hotel

We stayed at this hotel November 13-15th prior to leaving on a Viking Cruise November 16th. The hotel is in a great location. We walked to the Borghese Gallery, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. We took a taxi to other locations and they are readily available here. The doorman is quick to call one and helped us into and out of our taxi. The hotel is clean. Our room was exceptional. The service is excellent. Breakfast provided anything you would want to start the day. A harpist played quietly while we enjoyed our meal. Prior to our trip we checked out dozens of hotels on line. When we return to Rome we intend to stay at this hotel.

Bellissimo!

My husband and I stayed at the Baglioni Hotel Regina earlier this month and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel! The building itself is incredibly beautiful. The entrance, dining room and common areas are magnificent and opulent. Our room on the sixth floor was beautiful, spacious, pristine and comfortable. But most importantly the staff was incredibly welcoming, extremely personable and utterly delightful! Upon arrival, we were personally escorted to our room and every interaction following was just as incredible. The concierge provided excellent assistance with navigating the city and restaurant recommendations. The staff in the dining room went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect and that we had a wonderful experience. Our reservation included daily breakfast and the options available far exceeded my expectations. The buffet style offerings filled an entire room and had a plentiful array of options for all appetites and preferences! I would highly recommend The Baglioni Hotel Regina and would most certainly stay here again on my next trip to Rome! Thank you to all of the Baglioni Regina staff for making our time there so memorable and amazing! Grazie mille! :)

What’s worse than a bad? A bad hotel that sells itself as a great hotel.

I’m currently staying at the Baglioni Hotel Regina in Rome and booked two junior suites, expecting the polished luxury shown on the hotel’s website. What I walked into was the exact opposite. Both suites were in shockingly poor condition: • Scuffed and damaged doors and trim • Stains on the bed’s headboard • Stains inside the toilet • Dirty, stained bathroom tiles • Worn, chipped wood everywhere • Overall vibe: tired, old, and not maintained For a room priced at $1,000 per night, this level of upkeep is unacceptable. The property feels extremely dated, and the condition of both suites suggests this isn’t an isolated issue but a broader maintenance problem. This is not the experience one expects from a 5-star hotel in the heart of Rome — and certainly not at this price point. I truly hope management takes a serious look at the state of these rooms because what’s being marketed and what’s being delivered are worlds apart.

Lovely November stay, would go back

Wonderful breakfast, sometimes with live music on a harp. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a tad worn out and needs some renovation in the near future. Garbage collection and traffic could be heard from the nearby street, but nothing too disturbing. We hope to come back in the near furure.
