Where does royalty stay when the palace is being redecorated? Queen Margherita of Savoy chose the Regina Hotel Baglioni on the Via Veneto in Rome. This elegant Art Nouveau style hotel features period accents such as marble columns and Oriental carpets, while guest rooms and suites are truly palatial in their rich appointments and antique furnishings. Fine Mediterranean and international cuisine in a formal setting define the memorable dining experience offered at Le Grazi.

Would recommend - a classic Italian place to stay with marble entrance and traditional rooms. Pricey but worth it for a comfortable stay. A great location in walking distance (hilly) to the Trevi Fountain. Friendly staff from door to desk. Fantastic breakfast - hot and tasty (the pancakes were our favourite!). The reasons we wouldn't award a 5* come down to the finer details such as broken/cracked marble in the bathroom, the hallways not being hoovered and the dated furniture in the dining area. If a manager went around with a keen eye to perfect some of the chips/scuffs to furniture/decor, this would be on par with some of the top hotels in Italy.

This hotel is highly overrated. It is nothing more than a three star hotel charging five star prices. Moreover, the photos shown on their website do not accurately reflect the room reserved. For example, we booked a deluxe one bedroom suite. The website photo for this level room, priced at approximately 1,200 usd, depicted a modern suite. In fact, our room was in an old section of the hotel, with furnishings that were dated and in poor condition. If you are looking for a five star hotel experience, you will not find it at the Hotel Baglioni Rome.

We spent two weeks vacationing in Italy, in various cities. We stayed at the Baglioni for one night before our flight out of Italy. Upon checkout, we left our bags with the receptionist, warning them that two travel bags were important to us. These two bags contained new items, including a Birkin bag, designer shoes, and clothes. These were the bags that were stolen. The staff tried to get us out, and for two hours they said they'd called the police. We eventually went and filed a police report. Unfortunately, the investigation hasn't yielded any results. I strongly recommend not staying at this hotel. Personal belongings are stolen.
