Where does royalty stay when the palace is being redecorated? Queen Margherita of Savoy chose the Regina Hotel Baglioni on the Via Veneto in Rome. This elegant Art Nouveau style hotel features period accents such as marble columns and Oriental carpets, while guest rooms and suites are truly palatial in their rich appointments and antique furnishings. Fine Mediterranean and international cuisine in a formal setting define the memorable dining experience offered at Le Grazi.

We stayed at the Baglioni in Rome for a weeks trip celebrating my wife's 65th birthday, we wanted a special hotel and we certainly found one. The hotel has grandeur around every corner the lobby is very impressive and as soon as we arrived we had a good feel to our accommodation. We had a suite on the 2nd floor well furnished, comfy bed and a nice chill out zone to have a read or drink. Breakfast was very nice so much choice plenty of fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order and amazing pastries. The location of this hotel suited us within walking distances of all attractions we took advantage of the good weather and had numerous walks around Borghese Park. They have a brilliant concierge team and special mention to Sandro who is very approachable and knowledgeable on local restaurants. A highlight for us was having a nightcap in the bar after a night out there was always a couple to chat to and we struck up numerous conversations during the course of the week. A wonderful hotel that we thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

From the moment we landed from Canada, Hotel Baglioni Regina had everything sorted. A Mercedes E-Class was waiting for us right outside arrivals and got us to the hotel exactly on schedule — no waiting around, no confusion. Check-in felt less like arriving at a hotel and more like being welcomed into someone's elegant Roman home, and that warmth never let up: every staff member we dealt with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful for the entire stay. The hotel itself is beautiful — sweeping marble staircases, crystal chandeliers, and old-world Roman grandeur around every corner. Dinner at the in-house restaurant was a real highlight, with beautifully plated, inventive dishes that rivalled any fine dining we had elsewhere in the city. What made the stay truly special was how far the staff went beyond the basics: they arranged a Vespa rental so if we could explore Rome like locals, and helped us book tables at several excellent neighborhood restaurants, saving us a lot of guesswork in a city full of options. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a five-star Roman stay with a personal touch.

Would recommend - a classic Italian place to stay with marble entrance and traditional rooms. Pricey but worth it for a comfortable stay. A great location in walking distance (hilly) to the Trevi Fountain. Friendly staff from door to desk. Fantastic breakfast - hot and tasty (the pancakes were our favourite!). The reasons we wouldn't award a 5* come down to the finer details such as broken/cracked marble in the bathroom, the hallways not being hoovered and the dated furniture in the dining area. If a manager went around with a keen eye to perfect some of the chips/scuffs to furniture/decor, this would be on par with some of the top hotels in Italy.
