There isn’t a better immersion in the glory days of the Roaring Twenties than Grand Hotel Palace – part of the collection of – a regal mainstay on Rome’s famed Via Veneto. The white columned façade bears a hint of the Colosseum, but inside the wrought iron gate is an homage to Bohemian Rome. Architect Marcello Piacentini’s thoughtful design showcases floor-to-ceiling frescoes of bygone society, while marble floors and Murano crystal chandeliers retain a sense of timelessness.

We stayed for a few days post cruise. Location isn’t the best- it felt a little bit unsafe walking back at night. I would probably say it’s a four not a five star hotel. Guessing it gets 5 stars due to the spa which we didn’t use. The breakfast room is in a beautiful ornate room but lacks atmosphere- the chairs and tables just don’t match and are not comfortable or five star. No tablecloths. Little Things that could make it feel more inviting and luxurious. No evening bar for drinks on your return to the hotel. The breakfast itself was limited and poor quality. The bedroom was a great size but lacked feeling of luxury five star hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good location but hotel itself not really 5 star accomodation if compared to other five star accomodation in Rome. Rooms are dated but clean. Balcony however is a luxury and did not disappoint.

Rooms were good, ok on cleanliness. Bathrooms need update. Breakfast dinner buffets were good. Staff friendly and accomodating and understood English.

We were a family of five who booked two rooms at the Grand Hotel Palace in Rome.I had read previous reviews ,some of which were critical I can only say that our experience was spectacular .On arrival Matteo on reception informed us that we had received a free upgrade to a Junior suite and to the Presidential suite both of which were stunning . The hotel is situated opposite the American embassy in a quiet and extremely convenient location . The Spanish steps are a few minutes walk away as is the Trevi fountain and its location and service make it an ideal base for any visitor to Rome . We could not recommend it highly enough and thank you for making our visit truly memorable

This was our first trip to Rome and we were welcomed to the Hotel by Mirko, who throughout our stay ensured we made the most of the city with helpful hints and advice. The Hotel is clean and comfortable and within walking distance of the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. Arranging a Taxi is no problem and all the staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good with a varied choice and a relaxing drink in the bar in the evening after a day spent sightseeing was welcome.
