There isn’t a better immersion in the glory days of the Roaring Twenties than Grand Hotel Palace – part of the collection of – a regal mainstay on Rome’s famed Via Veneto. The white columned façade bears a hint of the Colosseum, but inside the wrought iron gate is an homage to Bohemian Rome. Architect Marcello Piacentini’s thoughtful design showcases floor-to-ceiling frescoes of bygone society, while marble floors and Murano crystal chandeliers retain a sense of timelessness.

Our trip to Rome was amazing and the hotel was the cherry on the cake. We were always greeted by the staff with a friendly smile . As it was my husband’s birthday we were given a room upgrade, Prosecco and cake in our room . This was such a lovely surprise. Our room was perfect. The breakfasts were perfect too . I had read a lot of reviews that it wasn’t great . But please do not worry it has more than you need . Can’t wait to return

Fantastic hotel. Excellent location - everything within walking distance. Friendly & helpful staff. Nice spacious rooms. Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Zero noise from traffic outside (we were on the 6th floor), plus comfortable beds & pillows = a great nights sleep. The Spa area can also be reserved for private use [50 minutes], and has a pool & sauna. We will be returning! Grazie Claudia, Ylenia e Elisa.

Our family stayed at the Grand Palace Hotel for 4 nights in January for a family vacation. The hotel's location is great, as there are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Most locations are walkable, including the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. We had two rooms, which consisted of a suite and a standard room. The standard rooms at the hotel are small and what you would expect for European hotel rooms. They have a small safe and a closet for clothes, but they lack ample table space. The beds were a bit hard and the pillows left a lot to be desired, but they were doable. The suite was almost twice the size, but still lacked ample usable table space. The bathroom was large and the full shower was nice with the stone floor. There was a bit of mold in the corners, so a bit of bleach might have helped. We did not use any of the hotel's amenities, such as the spa or dining. The spa is next door and you need to reserve time in the spa to use anything in there. At the same time, we found the dining to be great throughout the hotel. Instead of the 33 Euros per person breakfast, we just walked to a coffee shop around the corner for a cappuccino and croissant. The hotel is decent, but definitely not a 5-star hotel as it is noted. I would say 4-star for sure, but the rooms and cleanliness take away a star.

Checking in was okay, staff were pleasant and the process was good. Our room was a little dated with a comfortable bed. Our bathroom had next to no counter space, and the tub was very difficult to get and out of to shower. There was also a step up to the separate toilet room.

Amazing staff, great location. We waked to many landmarks no longer than 15 minutes. Not is the very center but close enough to walk to Fontana di Trevi, Spanish steps, the Vila Borghese park and more. Right by the metro, just 10 mins walk to Termini. The hotel is a 5 star but the style is much different than what you would be accustomed in the US. Clean, and decent size room. The elevator is very tiny, only one. If you can't use stairs just give some extra time to go up and down to and from the room.
