About the Hotel

There isn’t a better immersion in the glory days of the Roaring Twenties than Grand Hotel Palace – part of the collection of – a regal mainstay on Rome’s famed Via Veneto. The white columned façade bears a hint of the Colosseum, but inside the wrought iron gate is an homage to Bohemian Rome. Architect Marcello Piacentini’s thoughtful design showcases floor-to-ceiling frescoes of bygone society, while marble floors and Murano crystal chandeliers retain a sense of timelessness.

Not the Experience We Expected

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Palace in Rome from Friday to Monday. Unfortunately, our experience was mixed. On arrival, the staff were not very helpful with our luggage, especially compared with the assistance we saw being offered to other guests. We also had people enter our room despite us having said that we did not want anyone to come in, which was disappointing and impacted our privacy. Why are people walking into to our room multiple times in a row. On a positive note, the room itself was clean and well maintained throughout our stay.

Outstanding Stay at the Grand Palace Hotel

Our stay at the Grand Palace Hotel in Rome exceeded our expectations. The location was outstanding—situated in a safe, upscale neighborhood and within easy walking distance of countless restaurants, shopping, and many of Rome's most iconic sights. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Each morning, the breakfast was delicious, with an impressive variety of fresh options that easily fueled a full day of sightseeing. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully appointed. The bathroom was especially impressive—large, luxurious, and finished with stunning marble throughout, giving it a true five-star feel. The entire hotel has an elegant, upscale atmosphere while still offering excellent value for the quality, service, and location. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Grand Palace Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel in Rome.

Well located comfortable hotel in rome

Centrally located, friendly staff. Gym and swimming pool a lovely extra although booking rules were a little frustrating. Room wasn’t always serviced (needed paper cups for coffee and they hadn’t been replenished, and had to ask 3 times)

Lovely boutique hotel situated in the bustling Via Vittorio Veneto area of Rome. Perfect location!

We recently spent 4 days at this boutique hotel for a birthday trip. Check- in staff were friendly and welcoming. We were treated to a birthday card, chocolate cake and Prosecco, which was a lovely surprise and hugely appreciated. Our room was stylish, spacious , comfortable and clean. Location was perfect. Next door to a Hard Rock Cafe and 5 minute walk to cafes, bars and shops at the Barberini Piazza. 15 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. Thank you to the team for an enjoyable stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel

We booked this hotel because of it's 5 star rating. We were disappointed from the start. Our room was not as clean as one might expect during arrival. The shower was stained and fixtures were rusted and worn. The spa is a great addition but again it is not as clean and kept as we would have expected. The spa beds were torn and there were broken and missing tiles. Just had an unkept feeling. Gym doesn't open until 8am and that is inconvenient for a sightseeing destination. Front desk staff was nice but unhelpful. Concierge was a big disappointment. They offered to book tours for us and then never followed through. They forgot to tell us about the bug problem from our balcony so we were very surprised to find our bed covered in tiny red spiderlike bugs. I will say that the staff in the restaurant breakfast area were amazing! Matteo and all the guys were on point and really shined. The location is good, we were able to walk to the Spanish Stairs and the Trevi Fountain. No shuttle or transportation is offered. Nice neighborhood and quiet at night. This hotel overall feels more like an average hotel and nothing like a 5 star one. It is dated and dirty and their service needs a lot of work. Not impressed paying for 5 star service and not receiving it, the value is not there. We would never return or recommend this hotel to anyone.
