I didn't feel particularly comfortable at the hotel. I frequently stay at Hilton properties, so I hold Diamond status and accumulate a lot of points, which I later use for personal trips. I had planned a short getaway to Rome for my 10th wedding anniversary and spent a long time looking for the best hotel. I read many reviews and this one seemed like the best choice, even though it cost me the most points. I have stayed at luxury properties all over the world and expected higher service standards. I felt poorly received—likely due to my attire (I was traveling in shorts and carrying a backpack). Additionally, before my arrival, I received an email from the concierge with details about the stay and an offer to assist. I replied mentioning that this was a special trip—our 10th wedding anniversary—but this was completely overlooked during our stay. I get the impression that the hotel is very focused on extracting money from guests. For instance, we asked about using an iron (there wasn't one in the room). It turned out there was no option to borrow one, nor was there an ironing room available for guest use. The only option was to send items to the ironing service—starting at €10 per shirt—and even that wasn't possible until the second day. Another small detail: like most luxury hotels, they offered turndown service and left two candies. However, this only happened on the first night; on subsequent days, only an empty box was left by the bed. Upon checkout, I was also asked to pay a precisely calculated service tax (which, fortunately, was not mandatory). However, I wasn't satisfied with it, so I didn't pay for it. It seems odd, really—usually, if I’m happy with the service, I simply leave a tip, but that’s a separate matter. On the plus side, the hotel’s location and cleanliness are definitely highlights. The breakfast is excellent, too; one day, I even encountered a very pleasant waitress there. All in all, I certainly won't be returning to this hotel in the future—I’ll choose the nearby Curio or DoubleTree instead.

We were blown away by our stay here! Smaller rooms were perfectly outfitted to accommodate our every need- Staff was amazing, rooftop bar a lovely place to wind down the day, daily breakfast a sumptuous feast. We loved the location and walked everywhere.

From the moment we arrived at Hotel d’Inghilterra, the welcome was exceptional. Marco, the doorman, greeted us with genuine warmth and immediately set the tone for our stay. At reception, Daniella could not have been more gracious or professional—she personally escorted us from reception directly to our upgraded room and made us feel completely at home. Her attention to detail continued throughout the evening. She arranged a wonderful dinner reservation for us at Life Ristorante, following the hotel’s recommendation, and also ensured we had a table at the rooftop bar. Every detail was handled effortlessly and with the kind of personal care that distinguishes a truly fine hotel. After many visits to Rome, this was the sort of welcome one hopes to receive from a hotel of this calibre: elegant, personal, professional and genuinely hospitable. Marco and Daniella were outstanding ambassadors for Hotel d’Inghilterra and made our arrival feel very close to a royal welcome. A delightful beginning to our stay and hospitality exactly as it should be.

Another lovely stay at your charming property. We were so happy to be able to check in a little early and the room given had a beautiful balcony. Room was perfectly cleaned and well stocked with amenities. We saw that the spa was open and booked a nice massage, which was a wonderful way to fully relax from a long overseas flight the previous night. We enjoyed cocktails at the rooftop bar and then breakfast the next morning. Everything was fantastic, particularly the staff and concierge service that helped us with multiple requests and transfers from the airport and to the port for our cruise the next day. Our only regret is we were unable to spend more time at the hotel and look forward to a happy return again in the future.

Our family travels extensively and this summer we had the pleasure of spending time at Hotel d'Inghilterra in Rome. This hotel is absolutely amazing all around; I wish there were more than 5 stars I could add! Nothing could have been done better or more perfectly. From the concierge staff, led by the capable and experienced Mr. Massimo Mazzola, head concierge, and his team of Agustina, Francesca, plus the wonderful, warm and knowledgeable Xenia from guest relations, to the restaurant and lobby staff, and impeccable housekeeping, every single person exceeded our expectations in terms of their role capabilities, enthusiasm and kindness. This hotel is located perfectly, 2 minutes from the Spanish steps, 3 minutes from the metro, and within the walking distance to all the main attractions. The penthouse suite, with an expansive terrace and incredible housekeeping is gorgeous, beautifully appointed, clean and with beautiful Roman touches. The hotel went above and beyond our expectations in making our stay special every day with daily treats, beverages, monogramed pillow cases, and personalized baked goods. No detail was left unattended; this is an outstanding hotel experience. If you get a chance to stay here, you will not be disappointed.
