Where minimalist meets classic, Hotel de Russie is a sanctuary of eclectic chic. This Rocco Forte Collection hotel has acquired charm and a contemporary Italian style that attracts guests like Leonardo di Caprio and Bill and Hillary Clinton. You'll find Roman mosaics in the bath, and views that overlook gardens and terrace panoramas. Best of all, the hotel's fabulous location between the Spanish Steps and the Piazza del Popolo, within strolling distance of Rome's legendary sites, places guests in the heart of the city's fascinating culture and history.

Everything was truly amazing at the hotel. The staff, the gardens, the rooms, and the food and drinks were the best.

Our recent stay at Hotel de Russie was nothing short of outstanding. We spent five days over the Easter weekend celebrating a family birthday, staying in a Junior Suite alongside a group of close friends (at times 15–20 people). Having experienced many of the world’s leading hotels, I can say with confidence that this remains our favourite address in Rome. What truly sets this property apart is the concierge team. Months before arrival, they were already deeply engaged in helping us curate a highly complex programme: restaurants, private events, gallery visits, music, and bespoke in-hotel experiences. The level of coordination required was substantial, yet everything was handled with precision and calm professionalism. A special thank you to Daniela, Tito, Salvatore, and Alessio — an exceptionally capable and resourceful team. At times, it felt as though we had a dedicated “chief of staff” managing our stay. No request was too ambitious: whether arranging a private classical music performance or accommodating last-minute changes, they consistently delivered. The hotel itself lived up to its reputation. Our suite was elegant and comfortable, the garden remains one of the most beautiful and tranquil spaces in the city, and the overall atmosphere is refined yet welcoming. Service across all touchpoints — from arrival to housekeeping, the bell team, and the restaurant staff — was warm, polished, and highly professional. Given the occasion, the hotel went above and beyond with thoughtful gestures: personalised birthday surprises, generous amenities, and a level of attentiveness that is rarely seen, even at top-tier properties. A beautifully organised birthday dinner for our group was another highlight — flawlessly executed and genuinely memorable. There were minor technical issues with the air conditioning during our stay, but these were addressed quickly and handled with genuine care, including meaningful gestures of goodwill. Yes, this is a very expensive hotel, particularly during peak periods such as Easter. However, in our case, the value delivered fully justified the cost. The experience was curated, seamless, and executed at a very high level from beginning to end. In summary: an exceptional hotel, superbly managed, with an outstanding team and a unique atmosphere. We will certainly return.

I was in Rome at the end of March 2026 and am still deeply impressed by my stay at the Hotel de Russie. The hotel is perfectly located — just 10 minutes by car to the Vatican, and the Borghese Gallery with its surrounding park is also nearby. It's only a few minutes' walk to the best boutiques. In my opinion, the location is simply ideal for sightseeing and shopping. The luxurious rooms are in excellent condition. I really enjoyed the restaurants. I travel a lot around the world, but in this hotel, more than any other, I received the warmest welcome at the reception from the very first minutes of my arrival. A wonderful guest relations host greeted my son and me; we only mentioned that we'd like to have lunch, and as soon as we got up to our room, I already received a restaurant booking confirmation in my email. At breakfast, Mario took care of us in the restaurant — he is truly the soul of this place, with a great sense of humor, and he probably speaks every language in the world. We had lunch at the Stravinsky Bar, and the pasta was flawless. We also dined at the Le Jardin Restaurant. The cuisine, service, and elegant interiors — everything was top-notch. Thank you so much for great hospitality!!! Yulia Held

Beautiful location, beautiful hotel, and outdoor courtyard. Very attentive service. Every team member of the hotel was extremely attentive when needed but not intrusive. The breakfasts were filled with choice via the buffet or ordering from the menu. Mario was exceptionally good at making us feel welcome with wit, charm and humor. I especially loved his naming sour Come Zero “American Red Wine”. The room appointments extraordinary matching the city. The room services were the fastest I have ever experienced. The temperature control was immediate and accurate. The room was a haven.

The Hotel de Russie is top-notch from start to finish, beginning with the decadent breakfast buffet through to the incredible dining experience offered in the evenings. The rooms are gorgeous in design, spacious in their layout and feature beautifully designed bathrooms. On top of it all, the staff was kind and accommodating.
