Rome, Italy is a city that requires the use of superlatives in its description. Western culture and history call this modern city home, as can be witnessed in the beautiful architecture, breathtaking collections of art and sculpture, and even in the stones beneath your feet. Rome is a place to feast the senses and inspire the spirit, and the Hotel Dei Mellini is the place to rest your head at the end of each memorable day. Located on the right bank of the Tiber River, calling the Spanish Steps and St. Peters Cathedral as close neighbors, guests are privy to vistas and access that few encounter in this legendary city. Opulent and comfortable, with modern amenities and an Art Deco décor, the Dei Mellini is your luxurious address in ancient Rome.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Dei Mellini from December 13 - December 21, 2025. From the start, their service was exemplary. They answered questions, arranged rides, made suggestions for restaurants, and straightened our room every day. Always with warmth and kindness. Its location puts it within walking distance of so much of Rome's attractions. We're no spring chickens (ages 68 and 70) but we were able to walk the cobbled streets to the Vatican and the Spanish Steps, among others. We took a cab to the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggorie but walked back. The bed was firm and the complimentary breakfast was amazing. (We had to walk so much to wear off the morning croissant.) I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The hotel staff was very knowledgeable of the area. The hotel location was a nice walk to Vatican City, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel. nice amenities, very clean, and offered a wonderful breakfast.
