The Hassler Hotel Roma is an exceptional property and provides outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and its restaurants when staying in Rome. Location is perfectly too near Spanish Steps and luxury goods shopping area.

True 5 star hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

An Icon of Discreet Luxury in the Heart of Rome The Hassler Hotel is one of Rome’s true treasures – a grand hotel that has mastered the rare balance of timeless elegance, impeccable service, and absolute discretion. From its privileged position atop the Spanish Steps, the Hassler offers not only breathtaking views but also a sense of privacy and seclusion that is increasingly rare in a city as vibrant as Rome. What distinguishes the Hassler most is its people. Every member of staff — from concierge and guest relations to the bar, restaurant, and housekeeping teams — embodies a level of service that is both seamless and intuitive. Nothing is too much trouble, and yet everything is handled with such natural grace and subtlety that you feel cared for without ever being intruded upon. Privacy is respected at every turn, with a quiet understanding that true luxury is as much about space and peace as it is about beauty. Housekeeping is faultless, keeping suites and rooms immaculate while maintaining the utmost respect for personal space. Dining is a delight, with refined cuisine and service that is attentive but never overbearing. The bar offers the perfect retreat, where staff remember preferences without needing to be reminded, creating an atmosphere that feels both exclusive and welcoming. Every detail, from the warmth of the welcome to the quiet efficiency of every request, is infused with genuine Italian hospitality. The Hassler is a rare hotel where you feel both at the center of Rome and completely removed from its bustle — a sanctuary of elegance, discretion, and five-star service in the truest sense. For those seeking privacy, refinement, and a level of care that anticipates needs before they are voiced, the Hassler is simply without equal.

Once again, The Hassler did not disappoint!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Once again, The Hassler did not disappoint. Everything from the beauty of suite 521, to the cleanliness in every part of it, as well as the Hotel in general, always makes me feel at home. I also love having the same employees month after month, year after year. Is it expensive? Yes, but it is so worth it. There is not another hotel in Rome which can compare. The Scalinata di Spagna is definitely The Staircase to Heaven, because at the top of it is The Hassler!

It’s still Rome’s best home from home but needs massive investment to keep its position can’t keep relying on its staff.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Probably the best service staff in all departments ever….its home from home…fabulous food with excellent detail and still a great hotel but it’s a bit late with refurbishment.its like an old gentleman that needs to be brought into the next generation without loosing its charm….its gym is terrible….its expensive but starting to be overpriced as its needs big monies on refurbishment without loosing its historic charm and perfection in staffing.

Avoid dinner on the roof!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner on the rooftop which was terrible. The wine was like vinegar and they even poured water into the white wine - guessing to avoid heading downstairs! The view is definitely good but there are other hotels in the area with rooftop terraces too.
