With its dramatic ivy-covered façade and quiet luxury, the Hotel Raphael Rome is a sanctuary in the midst of the Eternal City. The lobby boasts a collection of Picasso ceramics, while rare objets d'art make the Grand Hall a pleasing retreat. Enjoy fabulous guest rooms and suitesâ€"some with private terracesâ€"that feel as if they belong in a palazzo, and deluxe apartments that owe their beauty to Florentine masters of decorative arts.

Fabulous hotel!! Everyone was so kind, helpful and accommodating. The location is perfect for great stay in Rome. The rooftop restaurant was amazing. The breakfast buffet had an amazing array of options for vegetarians. I wish there had been more options for vegans at the buffet. That said, once the manager (female-Her name escapes me) found out that I was vegan she made sure I had vegan croissants every day, along with a fruit tart, and a vegan cheese plate. I asked her one day if there was any dairy free yogurt, there wasn't, BUT, she ordered me some and it was there the following day. I really appreciated the effort she put in for me. I never left hungry. In fact I ate way more than I should have! I recommend, if you are vegan and are planning a stay here, let them know ahead of time. The hotel sends out a pre check-in form where you can write what allergies you have and I realized in hindsight that I should have mentioned that I was vegan. I don't want to give the impression that there were no options. There was vegan sausage and beans, fruit and bread and nondairy milks. I would have loved to have seen a tofu scramble or some vegan pastries. There were a ton of pastries just no vegan ones. But again, fabulous hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was exceptional until we booked at the restaurant after being impressed with the view. Being a vegetarian I was really excited about the restaurant in the rooftop. The view is amazing but the service was lacking in every aspect. For a restaurant with a Michelin star, the experience was very poor. Lack of total care and understanding for customers. The service has let you down today - very disappointing as it is a very special occasion for us. Not recommended as there are better value restaurants outside the hotel with better service and food.

My husband and I spent a wonderful week at Hotel Raphael and had an exceptional experience. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was outstanding, and our accommodations were both elegant and very comfortable. What truly set Hotel Raphael apart, however, was its exceptional staff. Every member of the team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. We were especially grateful to Marianna, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. She thoughtfully recommended several amazing restaurants and handled every request with warmth and care. Her kindness and expertise made our visit extra special, and by the end of our stay, we felt as though we had made a new friend in Rome. The location is ideal for walking to all of the sites in the historic district. Even though it is centrally located, the Hotel Raphael is on a quiet and serene piazza. We highly recommend Hotel Raphael and look forward to returning.

I am so sad to be leaving this hotel today. This is true luxury. From entering with a bellman, to the front desk that remembers your name and language, to the room and amenities, to the rooftop terrace- it’s all five stars. Everything about my stay was perfection. There is a harpist at breakfast! The breakfast spread! It is vegetarian but that was not even noticeable with all that they offer. The rooftop bar is beautiful and the views are spectacular. Service everywhere was lovely- a shout out to Christian in the restaurant. Delightful! I could honestly go on and on- Dyson hair dryer and flat iron in the shower. They respected my scent free wishes and the body soap was perfect. Automatic shades to let the light in when time to wake up. I’ve been spoiled and I’m not sure I can accept less than this from now on. Oh! They also gave the best dinner recommendation as well!

Rafael Hotel is truly one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve experienced. The room was spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean, making it a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was excellent, and the addition of a harp player created a unique and memorable way to start the day—such a thoughtful touch. The hotel’s location is perfect, very central and convenient for exploring the surrounding area. The exterior of the hotel is iconic and adds to the overall charm and character of the experience. Most importantly, the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. One small area for improvement would be the sound insulation. Rooms facing the plaza can be quite noisy at night, so upgrading the windows to better block outside noise would enhance the overall guest experience.
