Reviews for Hotel Raphael, Rome

The only place to stay in Rome

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We spent 3 glorious days at Bio Raphael in September. The hotel was absolutely fabulous in every way. We stayed in a Richard Meir corner suite. The room was so comfortable and well-appointed. The service was spectacular. Everyone went so out of their way for us. Mariana and Paloma at the front desk were so generous with their time. They made our stay even more exceptional, offering great recommendations for dining and shopping. As far as the hotel goes, we loved the attention to detail and the clear dedication to the happiness of their guests. The location is perfect, close to many great restaurants and sites yet tucked away in a quiet lane. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing Veg food and great people in Rome

Wonderful hotel with the best vegetarian meal ever. Matre Terrae lives upto its reputation. But what sets this hotel apart is the warmth of the staff. Each and every one was welcoming, warm and extremely helpful. It was the perfect welcome to Rome!

This hotel has an unbeatable location, tucked away in a small street only a few steps from the famous Piazza Navona with many shops and cosy restaurants in the surrounding area. And although it's in the centre of all the hustle and bustle, the Raphael is a haven of peace. All we could hear on our terrace were the screeches of the birds at sunset, looking out over the Eternal City. Our suite was lovely, with a large comfortable bed and a beautiful hardwood floor. The lady playing the harp was a serene accompaniment to breakfast every morning; breakfast itself consisted of high-quality organic vegetarian dishes, with eggs and pancakes freshly prepared to order. Our appreciation goes to the amazing staff and the warm welcome extended, with a special thank you to Mariana. Our stay was memorable.

Lovely inside and our.

The room was a bit small but well appointed. The bath luxurious and the amenities very nice. The welcoming staff was helpful and efficient friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The art in this hotel is amazing. And the rooftop bar view was spectacular. Breakfast was best of all with a harp player an a wonderful variety of foods beautifully presented. It was all I was hoping for. As far as walking to Trevi Spanish steps and pantheon all very close, but enough off the path to be secluded a bit.

Great location, food, interiors and staff - we will be back!

We loved this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to book it again when we return to Rome. The location is perfect for sightseeing and we particularly loved the little streets around the hotel for drinks and dinner during the evenings. The interiors are beautiful - including all the art. The rooms are spectacular and the staff couldn't be more welcoming. Breakfast is delicious - and again, in a stunning room (with harpist - so lovely!). We came to Rome to celebrate a special wedding anniversary and they upgraded our room and we were welcomed with a bottle of fizz - such a lovely surprise. The rooftop bar is incredible (and familiar to anyone who watched One Day!) and we enjoyed drinks up here on two of our three nights. We will be back - thank you again for a wonderful and memorable stay. Worth every penny.
