Everything you would want from a Rome hotel

A lovely hotel with a cool chilled vibe, great staff and in a great location out of the busy centre but easy enough to walk in.

Frederico at Elio Restaurant at Hoxton, Rome Hotel.

The hotel restaurant (Elio) is a great experience of Italian food and cultural service. Frederico is excellent! Friendly, jovial and helpful! Served our Cappuccino’s with a smile! Excellent breakfast. Without asking, he helped us map a scenic route for walking to the Colosseum. Such an Italian role model for welcoming tourists! Good job Frederico!

Great hotel - friendly & relaxed & good area

Just back from birthday city break in Rome. We stayed 4 nights at The Hoxton and loved it. We stayed in a Cosy room. On booking I was a little bit concerned it would be very cosy but no need to worry the room size was actually great. Big bed & also a small sitting area & felt spacious. It’s a well designed space with places to put things so can keep tidy. We had a room on the 7th floor so little bit of a view too. Rooms have nice mid century touches & decor feels quite lux. The bathroom was good size, well lit & had large walk in rainfall shower. Lots of nice touches like the Roberts Radio which was on when we came into the room. Small fridge with free milk & water, kettle & coffe & tea. Safe also in your room. Air con in the room was good. Small tip it did switch itself off through the night & I woke up several times hot. Spoke to reception & that was switched off with no problems. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from reception to bars and lovely guy who serviced our room. Bars and lounge areas are relaxed and chilled. We had drinks & antipasto on the terrace & late night drinks in the bar & really enjoyed both. It’s a good area to stay a little away from the main tourist area but it’s easy to get into the centre using local buses about 3-4 mins walk away at Po/Simento. Some great local restaurants a short walk away. Try La Balestra which was lovely and reasonable but always busy with locals so maybe book. There is an amazing award winning pastry shop Grue very near too. We would definitely stay again & now considering signing up for the Hoxton Disloyalty membership.
