Won’t refund holding deposit

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

My daughter stayed at the Hoxton for her 21st birthday surprise trip to Rome. I wish I could leave a higher review but unfortunately the hotel have still not refunded her holding deposit. I have emailed the hotel and they have told us to take it up with her bank. This really isn’t acceptable. She returned home on June 20th. Just a warning for other travellers.

Worth staying further from the attractions

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

A lovely hotel in a great area. It wasn’t too difficult to get to the attractions and there are several bus stops within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself and our room was immaculate. The body wash and hand cream smelt amazing. Breakfast was great, but we wished there were more vegetarian options for dinner. We will be back

Stylish, comfortable, clean and delicious!

I had an excellent stay at the Hoxton Rome in Parioli last week! It couldn't have been better and I highly recommend it. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the air con was fantastic (and adjustable!). Very stylish room with hairdryer, safe, clothes rail, cupboard, shelves and great tea and coffee tray. The fridge was restocked every day with free water and milk which was very appreciated. The breakfast was a la carte and delicious. I loved the croissant and scrambled eggs on sourdough. There was a range of options plus fresh fruit and juices and hot drinks. My sister loved the avocado smash with radishes. I've stayed in the Hoxton Holborn in London before and the Hoxton Rome had the same great vibe - good music, stylish and relaxed. The terrace outside was also often busy and buzzing in the evening. We walked into the historical centre (45 mins with my slow walking!) and to the Vatican another day (1 hour). On another day we got a taxi using the FreeNow app. The location was nice as it felt relaxed. We followed the hotel's recommendations and went to a local gelato shop (I forgot the name) and to Fra Diavolo for dinner. You are so close to the Borghese Park and also on a practical note, there was a small supermarket and a drinking fountain not far down the road. I really liked the Hoxton guest area website which they sent via WhatsApp. It also linked through to a site to book airport taxi transfers for our journey home. A fantastic stay. Thank you to all the staff.

Marvellous

Really nice place. Staff are friendly and genuinely pleased to help. I found the background music a little loud but I know I’m off the scale particular about it. Fairly central and rather well positioned for busses and trams. I can’t speak for the metro as I’m touchy about crowds and their system is a mess at the moment. Overall it would be a destination of choice for me. Eleanora and Sarah were particularly good for clarity and usefulness of help. Top marks to them for customer service.

Our Home in Rome!

The Hoxton was our base for 3 nights. Reception was very welcoming. Our room spacious and very tastefully furnished. The bathroom was spacious and spotlessly clean. After sightseeing it was perfect to return for drinks and flop into bed!!
