About the Hotel

Five-star luxury for the Ambasciatori Palace in via Vittorio Veneto, an elegant window facing the Eternal City. In an enviable location, the hotel blends the magic of traditional hospitality with contemporary elegance. Known as 'Ambassadors' Palace', it was originally built in 1903 and it has been the location of international affairs between diplomats from the nearby Embassies and a witness to the excitement of the mundane 'Dolce Vita'. The welcoming and aristocratic atmosphere of the Ambasciatori Palace combines with exclusive services provided and a careful attention to technology and comfort. The 152 rooms are bright, spacious and finely furnished, decorated in soft colors and aristocratic textures. The elegant business center includes several multipurpose rooms of different sizes, some with natural light and overlooking via Veneto. The main hall is housed in the ballroom. The Ambasciatori Palace is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay among the most legendary historical-artistic monuments and the elegant shopping streets of Rome.

A True 5 Star Hotel

A truly beautiful, immaculately clean property, conveniently located right on the Via Vittorio Veneto. The staff has been outstanding and the hotel restaurants are excellent, although there are several terrific options within walking distance. I would without hesitation stay here on my next trip to Rome and recommend it to anyone looking for a first class experience.

Disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Stayed three nights as part of a Viking pre-cruise package. Typically small European accommodations but elegant nonetheless. Check in experience excellent. Restaurant experience much less so. First night rooftop restaurant was closed for a private event. Second morning breakfast service in the restaurant was absolutely horrible. We had to beg for coffee. No one cleared used dishes or utensils from the table. There was no way to complain about the service because they were totally understaffed, very sad!

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel and impeccable service in the heart of Rome! Easy to get to city center, the Vatican, walkable to delicious bistros and restaurants.

Good Hotel, not a great one, with some physical opportunities

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Rome is a very expensive hotel city, and we were satisfied with this hotel, while not blown away. The front desk staff were excellent however as were the door men. The hotel charges a 5% service charge per night which for 3 nights was 100 EU on our hotel bill. It is discretionary, but we would not have known about it unless we had looked at the bill the day before checking out. Does this impact how we tip staff during our stay? We usually tip as we go and try to make it personal. The roof top bar, Charlie's, needs an urgent furniture overhaul - its in very bad shape. Unfortunately for us we could not use the very attractive downstairs bar since it had been booked every day for a private function. Understand the hotel's needs but this did impact our own stay. The room we had 509, has a very nice balcony that we used. Always looking for more hooks in hotel rooms to hang our coats and jackets, the two in the bathroom for robes are falling out of the wall. There is no bathroom vanity space to put one's stuff, could use some simple shelving. The bathroom robes are older and have shrunk way too much for a man to wear. I find this frequently in hotels as nobody seems to check them for wearing. The make-up mirror for my wife should be at a different height please. The shower needs a safety grab bar. In the guest room the lighting system is rather complicated to use. The positioning of the bed with the wardrobe mirror is rather awkward. Sadly, stupid me after noticing the step down between bathroom and bedroom, still managed a trip and small ankle twist. I managed. Overall, this hotel experience was our third on this trip and not up to the standards of the other two we had chosen in Athens and Valetta. Not the people but the operation and conditions.
