Five-star luxury for the Ambasciatori Palace in via Vittorio Veneto, an elegant window facing the Eternal City. In an enviable location, the hotel blends the magic of traditional hospitality with contemporary elegance. Known as 'Ambassadors' Palace', it was originally built in 1903 and it has been the location of international affairs between diplomats from the nearby Embassies and a witness to the excitement of the mundane 'Dolce Vita'. The welcoming and aristocratic atmosphere of the Ambasciatori Palace combines with exclusive services provided and a careful attention to technology and comfort. The 152 rooms are bright, spacious and finely furnished, decorated in soft colors and aristocratic textures. The elegant business center includes several multipurpose rooms of different sizes, some with natural light and overlooking via Veneto. The main hall is housed in the ballroom. The Ambasciatori Palace is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay among the most legendary historical-artistic monuments and the elegant shopping streets of Rome.

We had the most wonderful time at this beautiful hotel in a very quiet section of Rome. Big room, great venues within and the best staff. So accommodating. We especially loved the senior concierge, Mr. Mario Angelin. He helped with dinner reservations and travel arrangements throughout the Amalfi region. These all turned out to be great. We will be back again.

Booked two fab rooms in this beautiful hotel for a few nights. In a relatively quiet area just outside really busy area of Rome, but still walkable to Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, and Pantheon, metro 5 mins walk (which takes you to other big tourist attractions). Lovely welcome, very friendly helpful staff and shown to our rooms straight away. Bit of a weird one off rain storm, but happy to watch it from the fab covered rooftop bar with again lovely friendly chatty staff - such a pleasure. Rooms are huge, spacious - very clean, comfy beds, housekeeping very good. Breakfast was fabulous - lots of choice and staff ran themselves ragged tending to a lot of guests with smiles and grace, very admirable. A real oasis of calm and coolness in the midst of a hot crazy capital, thank you 🙏

3/5 Stars: Quiet Location and Standard Service, But Flawed Room Design and Dining Location & Accessibility The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, with the Hard Rock Cafe conveniently located right in the same building. However, while the peace and quiet are nice, the location lacks overall convenience. You will need to walk about 10 to 15 minutes just to find other local restaurants, dining options and the Metro station. Transport Tip: If you need a ride, I highly recommend having the hotel call a taxi rather than using Uber. The hotel staff will ensure the taxi actually arrives and can communicate your destination precisely to the driver in Italian, whereas Uber pickup and drop-off points can be frustratingly imprecise. Room Configuration & Amenities We received a room upgrade, and while it was very spacious, the layout was quite weird. The living area was separated from the bedroom by a wall with two entrances, which ironically made the living room feel very congested. On the plus side, the bathroom (featuring dual basins) and the wardrobe cabinets were much larger than normal. However, there were a few notable drawbacks to the room: The Workspace: The desk provided was not a proper working desk. While the length was reasonable, the width was only deep enough to accommodate a single laptop. Bedding: The hotel seemed to be using heavy winter quilts during the summer. It got so warm sleeping under it at night that I actually had to call the service line to request for a fan! Power Outlets: For a major international chain, I was disappointed to find no universal power sockets anywhere in the room. Remember to bring your adapters! Dining at VICI Bistrot & Ristorante The dining experience was unfortunately quite underwhelming. For breakfast, despite offering a separate à la carte ordering menu alongside the buffet spread, both the food quality and variety fell short of expectations. We also decided to try the restaurant for lunch during our stay, and the food quality remained unimpressive. Worse still was the service speed: it took us about 1 hour and 35 minutes from placing our order just to finish a simple meal of one soup and one pasta, with a very long wait for the first dish to even arrive. Service & The Verdict The staff provided the professional level of service you would expect from an InterContinental property by IHG. However, when looking at the overall experience, the high price outweighs the benefits and convenience of staying here. While I know that hotel prices in Europe are generally expensive, this particular stay simply did not offer enough value to justify the cost.

The location was perfect. The staff was absolutely awesome. The breakfast buffet was on point, with plenty of food choices for all diets. Our room was nicely decorated. Their lounge was a nice area to relax. They had snacks and various drinks options. We would definitely stay at the InterContinental Ambasciatori Rome whenever we return to Rome.
