Five-star luxury for the Ambasciatori Palace in via Vittorio Veneto, an elegant window facing the Eternal City. In an enviable location, the hotel blends the magic of traditional hospitality with contemporary elegance. Known as 'Ambassadors' Palace', it was originally built in 1903 and it has been the location of international affairs between diplomats from the nearby Embassies and a witness to the excitement of the mundane 'Dolce Vita'. The welcoming and aristocratic atmosphere of the Ambasciatori Palace combines with exclusive services provided and a careful attention to technology and comfort. The 152 rooms are bright, spacious and finely furnished, decorated in soft colors and aristocratic textures. The elegant business center includes several multipurpose rooms of different sizes, some with natural light and overlooking via Veneto. The main hall is housed in the ballroom. The Ambasciatori Palace is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay among the most legendary historical-artistic monuments and the elegant shopping streets of Rome.

Arrived at 3pm and my room wasn’t ready. Still here in the lounge waiting, 30 minutes and nothing yet. I was excited to see in the app my room was upgraded to a King Junior Suite because of Diamond Ambassador status a few days before check-in. And then magically at check-in, they moved me down to a King Premium. I honestly think this is the first time this has ever happened in all my years of staying at IHG. Disappointed guest!

Booked using Amex Platinum and received generous upgrade to junior suite and other regular amenities. Room decor was very comfortable, almost lavish. Linens perfect. Seating comfortable. Bath area was large and opulent. Minor quibble was bedroom TV was not working but rather than report i simply watched in sitting area. Staff of hotel were polite and helpful. All this at 2/3rds the price of neighboring competitors makes it a wonderful choice for a Rome visit.

My husband and my second year visiting The Intercontinental in Rome was even better than the first. What made it so special was Eliana. Not only did she remember us from the year before but she is SO lovely and warm and just a pleasure to be around. She gave us amazing food and wine recommendations and I think she is a gem. The hotel and the overall service and quality is excellent, but Eliana made our experience above and beyond expectations. Highly recommend 10/10. And ask for Eliana!!!!
