About the Hotel

Bathed in the elegance, history, and culture of ancient Rome, Palazzo Manfredi offers an exclusive glimpse of Italy's celebrated past with all the modern comforts of a luxurious five-star escape. At Palazzo Manfredi, every window promises a journey to the past. Breathtaking views of the Coliseum and cobbled Roman roads await behind the heavy, roped drapery in each of the hotel's exquisite accommodations. Each room is a jewel of style and sophistication awash in opulent Roman textiles; warm, natural light floods in through the numerous windows, and a soft, earthy color palette completes the relaxed ambiance. Plush rugs envelope the length of living and sleeping areas, while cool marble dominates in the lavish well-equipped bathrooms; rooms range in size from the intimate Prestige to the colossal Suite Colosseo. Larger families or those seeking a more secluded setting may opt for a stay in the palatial accommodations of Palazzo Manfredi's off-site apartments, available with all the comforts of the hotel, but the privacy of one's very own pied-à-terre.

Luxury Comfort

It feels like luxury the moment you step into the lobby. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and a glass of prosecco. The room was impeccable and the beautiful view of the colloseum, especially at night, is not exaggerated. A very intimate hotel, with luxurious comfort.

The reception experience was wonderful; however, the stay itself was somewhat complicated. We spent three nights at the hotel; overall, the room was very small and the breakfast food wasn't very good. The biggest downside, in my opinion, is the Michelin-starred restaurant on the terrace; this means there are people waiting to get in every night—people who aren't staying at the hotel. When guests try to enter, the staff always questions whether you are actually staying there, asks for your room number, and so on, which slows down access. We also felt that guests arriving at night were looked at disparagingly if they weren't dressed according to the restaurant's dress code—even if they weren't going to the restaurant and just wanted to go to their room. Another issue is that there is a lot of noise in the rooms; they aren't very well soundproofed.

Best hotel experience yet

We are still enjoying our stay. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I feel like a princess. The service is warm, welcoming, and personal - it's like we are the only guests in the hotel duringa hot and busy summer travel season. Every detail is perfect. I hope to return sooner rather than later!
