Excellent Hotel

The suites are large, and the location is amazing (view of the Coliseum). The breakfast is wonderful-so many choices. The staff was so friendly and helpful! I will definitely stay here again!

Elevated Roman Holiday

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We spent the first night of our honeymoon in Italy at Palazzo Manfredi. It was an incredible start to our trip. The service was wonderful, from check in to breakfast and to checkout. The breakfast was delicious and the view of the colosseum was perfect. We stayed in a junior sweet and were greeted by a beautiful bottle of champagne to kick off our arrival. The view of the colosseum and walkable location was perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to elevate their experience in Rome!

Location and View

Amazing hotel and location. While our room did not face the Coliseum, it was exceptional. The staff is very attentive and will help arrange anything you can think of. We arrived tired and had a nice refreshing bottle of Prosecco and snacks waiting for us. Cocktails at the bar in the evening is a must do.

One Night in Rome, a Lifetime Memory

We stayed for just one night—an impromptu Roman getaway—and were absolutely blown away. Palazzo Manfredi upgraded us to a spectacular Colosseum Suite in the annex building, complete with a balcony that felt like a private theatre to ancient history. The welcome was pure VIP: a chilled bottle of champagne, nibbles, Acqua di Parma amenities, and one of the best showers I’ve had in any hotel (proper pressure, too). Breakfast was just as impressive—multilingual service that switched seamlessly between Italian, English and Polish, and a great mix of buffet options with à la carte dishes cooked to perfection. The views from the terrace are just… stupid good. Like, can’t-make-this-up good. The Front Desk Manager was excellent—genuinely warm and full of great local tips that helped us avoid the obvious spots and eat and drink like Romans. We ended our night sipping pre-mixed cocktails from the minibar in our pyjamas on the balcony, staring at the Colosseum. One of those surreal, cinematic moments you quietly hope to have when you travel. We only stayed a night, but it will stay with us for a long time.

Our second trip here has been unbelievably bad.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This is our second stay at Palazzo Manfredi and our first stay was outstanding. This stay has been a nightmare. We arrived and everything was great. We booked a suite overlooking the collesium. We checked in at 8pm and immediately went out for dinner and drinks. When we got back to the room about midnight, it was a bit warm, so we turned down the AC and went to bed. I woke up at 4am and the room was approaching 80 degrees. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to look. There was understandably nothing they could do about it at the time, so they moved gave is the key to th room next door to sleep in comfort. When I woke up the next morning, I enquired and told me they would be looking at it. When I spoke to them about 11, they told me they sent a technician to the room, but since we were in there, they didn’t want to disturb us. I’m not sure if that is accurate, since we had been in the room to retrieve a few necessities. I’m bewildered why you wouldn’t just knock and ask to look at the AC. An hour later they said an outside technician was coming. We went out to explore some sites in Rome. I called a few hours later and was told the room was still not ready, but they had another room above ours that was equivalent to our original. I told them we would head back and repack to move to the new room. We got back about 45 minutes later and that room is no longer available, the gave it to another guest. The original room still does not have air conditioning, and a technician still has not arrived and it’s now 3 pm. I understand that air conditioners break and it is beyond the hotels control. However there has not been one proactive communication from the hotel. Every update is because I have inquired. Shockingly poor service given how good our first experience was a few years ago. Too bad there are not 0 stars.
