Beautiful hotel with an unbelievable view

My wife and I took a last minute trip to Rome and I found this hotel on the Hilton app. The small luxury hotels of the world are available to book via Hilton. The communication from the hotel between the time we booked and sour arrival was excellent. The hotel arranged for a driver to meet us at FCO and he was there to pick us up. You can request a driver to pick you up in a Rolls Royce or Lamborghini for a nice price of course. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30pm and they allowed us to check in. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, every member we interacted with was nice. The room was small but it was very nice and had everything we needed. They provided a welcome gift of a bottle of champagne and some items to eat, we appreciated that. The room shown in the pics did not have a view of the colosseum but we still enjoyed it. The best view in this hotel is from the bar. You will see some pictures attached. We were there at the end of February and the weather was beautiful. The bar had those pyramid glass tube heaters all over the bar area so I was comfortable in a short sleeve shirt while sitting next to one of those. I had to reserve the seating at the bar in advance so make sure to do that if you want to guarantee a good spot. Every seat was take when we were there. They have a package deal for €55 per person which includes two cocktails each and the food shown in my pictures. We enjoyed it, where else can you sit in front of an ancient colosseum and have a few cocktails. We don’t have a single complaint about this hotel or their staff, I recommend this place if you are going to Rome. We walked all over the city from here and felt safe at all times.

Opulence with a view!!

An outstanding hotel with iconic views of the Colosseum. The hotel and rooms are opulent, whilst also feeling warm and homely. For those not fortunate enough to have a room with a Colosseum view, breakfast is served in their AROMA restaurant, with stunning views. I would challenge anyone to enjoy their breakfast without taking at least one photograph of the view, yes, it’s that good. This is a small well run establishment with a team that truly complement this stunning hotel.

Average Hotel with Above Average Service

The location to the Colosseum was exceptional. However, the value and noise were not worth it. I was disappointed in the noise from the main streets into our room. I also believed the restaurant was not an experience we could afford and continue our vacation.

Palazzo Manfredi Warning: safety concerns for families and solo travelers.

Review – Palazzo Manfredi Warning: safety concerns for families and solo travelers. This was our second stay at the Palazzo Manfredi and, unfortunately, this visit was marred by a serious criminal incident. Upon arrival at the property, we noticed that the neighborhood appeared to have deteriorated. Many buildings were now defaced with graffiti and suspicious-looking groups lingered around the hotel property. The day before the incident, we became concerned that an individual was following us back to the hotel. When we tried to confront him, he quickly got into a car waiting outside the hotel. The next day, shortly after we had exited the hotel, what appeared to be the same person, now accompanied by a larger group, followed us again. Eventually, this group surrounded my son and assaulted him by ripping a necklace off his neck. Minutes later, when we tried to enlist help, my son was accosted by some of his initial assailants who tried to force him into a car. In the ensuing confrontation, and in trying to protect my children, I fell and suffered multiple fractures to my left arm, requiring emergency medical treatment in Rome and later major surgery in the U.S. In the immediate aftermath of my injury, hotel management was difficult to reach in a timely manner and, once we finally were able to connect, offered little logistical or practical support. Before and during the stay, hotel management or staff provided no warnings about crime in the immediate or general area. Thereafter, they refused a refund, stating in substance that off-property incidents were not their responsibility. Given the many choices of lodging in Rome, travelers would be wise to book different properties. In my opinion, the hotel’s management practices, lack of security, and the apparent rash of street crime in the general vicinity of the hotel may put guests at risk.
