As part of our first community project, we’ve supported significant renovation work to revive the façade of San Marcello al Corso Church next door. Start your day with a healthy breakfast at BIVIUM Restaurant-café- or on our NOTOS Rooftop with panoramic views of the surrounding neighborhood and monuments. Reviews for Six Senses Rome

Felt off brand and way too expensive for the experience we had.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 13 hours ago

Want to start by saying as a family we are big Six Senses fans and have stayed in numerous resorts over the last few years so we were excited and intrigued to try one of the city properties. From the moment we started communication with the hotel, trying to book guided tours it felt off! Especially for the price. We are used to the GEM service at the other resorts and whilst I appreciate in a city hotel it’s very different and that probably wouldn’t work I did expect more of a dedicated concierge type service. The rooms were fine, nothing special but nice. The atrium/bar area was nice but other than that it felt a bit bland. Lunch when we arrived and breakfast on day one was nice, service was good. I didn’t feel breakfast was the same quality as other Six Senses we have stayed in in terms of choice and presentation and the service at breakfast one morning was bad, we tried to get water 4 times and only received it after 30+ minutes. Dinner on the roof was really good. Great food and service. Spa again was ok. My massage was very hard and my partner who asked for deep Tissue said it was a tickle. Not great for the price. My therapist also seemed a little annoyed by the tension in my shoulder blades and suggested next time I had a massage “you should try to relax that” which having loved every spa treatment in other Six senses resorts felt way off. The grand finale was the lift jamming with us inside (I think our key card wasn’t working which also happened at my daughter room on day one) The doors then wouldn’t open. We pressed the alarm twice, holding my finger on it the second time. It was very hot in the lift so we sat on the floor (it’s right next to reception) and no one came. Eventually another guest requested the lift from outside and the doors opened. I also felt the main bar area on the Saturday we were there felt way to public. We asked for ice cream and it felt like an issue so we said to leave it. There were a lot of people there just for drinks so the service was slow. I guess we were expecting more of a private members/resort type feel when you are paying around 4000€ per night for two small rooms.

What I loved most about Six Senses Rome is its understated luxury and calming atmosphere a place where you truly reset

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

What impressed me the most about Six Senses Rome is the balance between understated luxury and a true sense of calm. It’s not a typical “show-off” hotel everything feels thoughtful, refined, and intentional, from the scent of the space to the overall design and the way the staff interacts with you. What stood out in particular: * The spa & wellness concept exceptional, yet subtle, with a real focus on regeneration, not just relaxation * Interior design a perfect blend of modern aesthetics and Roman heritage, without being overdone * Atmosphere a rare sense of privacy and tranquility in the middle of a busy city * Service discreet

Great Location and Service, But Bathroom Lighting Ruined the Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

The hotel’s location is excellent—there’s truly nowhere better. The design is modern, stylish, and thoughtfully executed. Service was outstanding: everyone was very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. The spa was also amazing. Overall, this stay reminded me of one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had, comparable to places like Aman and Four Seasons. However, I’m rating it 3 stars instead of 5 because of a major issue with the lighting in the bathroom. If you go to the bathroom at night, a soft light automatically turns on, which I understand. But after 7:00 a.m., the system switches to full brightness, which completely wakes you. There’s no way to turn it off while you’re using the toilet, and it’s especially disruptive when you’re dealing with a six-hour jet lag from the East Coast. I don’t understand why there isn’t a button or a way to disable this feature. Because of this, I won’t return to the hotel. I don’t like having decisions like this made for me.

Ended up cancelling our reservation due to poor communication with the spa

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

We were very much looking forward to our spa experience at Six Senses Rome; however, we were unable to receive clear confirmation from the spa regarding an itemized receipt that separated the massage cost from the package price for insurance reimbursement. Communication was also slow, which made it difficult to resolve the matter in a timely way. Although we explained this requirement in detail, we did not obtain assurance that such documentation could be provided and ultimately decided to cancel our reservation and book with a different spa. For a property of this caliber, clearer and more responsive communication around standard documentation requests would be expected.

Perfection.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

It would be hard to find a better luxury hotel than this one in Rome. Staff and management are amazing. Rooms are larger, spotlessly clean and very well decorated. Bar and kitchen staff took care of every need or request with a smile. Hotel is centrally located with several main attractions within an easy five minute walk. Our group had four different rooms and all were very impressed with the attention to detail each room offered. We would stay here again.
