In a serene oasis in the heart of Rome, the five-star Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese is an enchanting boutique hotel. Set in a historic building, dating back to the 1890s, the hotel enjoys splendid views over the Villa Borghese Park. The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Via Veneto provide the backdrop to the area catapulted to fame by the 1960s movie 'La Dolce Vita.' Today it is the exclusive reserve of dazzling designer boutiques, restaurants and bars.

Another Great Stay at Sofitel Rome This was my second stay at Sofitel Rome, and once again, a very pleasant experience. The team was consistently friendly and professional, from arrival to breakfast and departure. As an ALL Diamond member, I truly appreciated the room upgrade and recognition of my membership. The location is another strong point. The hotel is well positioned for exploring Rome, with many of the city’s key attractions within easy walking distance, including Vatican City. A comfortable stay, warm service and a great location. I would happily return again on my next visit to Rome.

We had a great stay at the Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese. The location is fantastic, right next to Villa Borghese and close to great restaurants, cafés, and many of Rome’s sights. The hotel is stylish and elegant, with very comfortable beds and a nice pillow service. The staff really stood out. We changed our dates and booked the extra nights separately using credit card points. The hotel went out of its way to keep us in the same rooms for the entire stay and made sure we got the better of the two room configurations we had booked. We had adjoining rooms with a suite, which was perfect for our family. The concierge was also excellent with transportation and local recommendations. We were there in August and Rome was hot. The AC worked well, although we were advised to keep the blinds closed during the day so the rooms stayed cool. No problem for us. We explored early in the morning and in the evenings, then came back to relax and nap during the hottest part of the day. We had drinks at the rooftop restaurant one night. Great setting, although a little hot in August. I imagine it is wonderful in cooler weather. Breakfast was not included and seemed a little expensive, but there are plenty of great cafés nearby, which we preferred exploring anyway. Overall, a great stay. Fantastic location, comfortable rooms, and a staff that went the extra mile for us. We would definitely recommend it and would happily return.

This boutique hotel did not disappoint. The building was fully renovated several years ago. The rooms are elegant and stylishly refurbished. The French interior designers have worked their magic. Understated but a very pleasing result with lovely rooms to stay in. The extensive breakfast is offered in the rooftop restaurant and outside area. There are views across Rome which are a delight. The reception and concierge service were professional and welcoming. Special thanks to concierge Valentina Mezzana who resolved a problem of our own doing so well. A delightful stay and one we hope to return sometime in the future. Thank you, Sofitel Roma Borghese, for our very enjoyable stay.

Really great location right near the Borghese Gardens and about a seven minute walk to the Spanish Steps. The area is quiet and pretty and I would certainly stay around there again. Room was good, as were amenities (Diptique). The atmosphere was ok - it's a chain hotel so don't expect super-personalised service. The concierge service was almost non-existent. We were emailed a beautiful brochure of activities available but when I asked for help in booking some outings, we had no luck (this was about a month before we got there). I asked for assistance a few times but eventually booked everything we did myself. Restaurant on the top floor is excellent - view, food, service.

We'll be back. With limited time in Rome, hotel location is critical. The Roma Sofitel was just perfect after a really frantic day of sightseeing. We only had one night in Rome, it was important for us to be as close to the sights we wanted to see over two days. We got to the hotel early leaving our bags in storage then a day of sightseeing. We got back in the evening to our room overlooking the Borghese gardens. Beautiful room lovely ensuite. Dinner was easy, hotel restaurant top floor overlooking the Vatican. The food and service was wonderful. Tired we crashed on a very comfortable bed. Next morning we had an early breakfast in the same restaurant enjoying the view over Rome. Finally we checked out while being able to stow our bags at the hotel for a late afternoon departure. Our thanks to all the staff for making just our one night extremely pleasant and memorable.
