I had heard great things but the treatment I received and the hotel itself went far above and beyond. They called me by name with each interaction and so eager to assist with anything I needed. From the greeter that hold the doors for you to the front desk staff to the housekeepers. You will not find a better hotel. Location is amazing and the rooms were comfortable and gorgeous. Turn down service, personal notes and cookies each night. They have mastered customer service.

Not just a gorgeous hotel, but an amazing experience. The staff is attentive to every detail and go out of their way to make sure your stay is amazing. All your needs are taken care of; don't worry about bringing anything to the beach or pool, you will have a lounge chair, umbrella and towels provided. They also provide paddleboards and bicycles free of charge. There are plenty of restaurants and amenities within walking distance, but make sure you make reservations as they are always busy (and amazingly delicious)!

The Pearl masquerades as a luxury hotel but fails to deliver on basic hospitality. Despite the charming European-style town setting with cobblestone streets and beautiful architecture, the experience was deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, we checked in and were directed to the rooftop bar for food. Minutes after ordering drinks, a bartender yelled across the bar that we had to leave due to a lightning strike within some protected radius. No indoor seating or room service was offered—just "please leave." We ended up at a fantastic tapas bar across the street. The staff clearly harbor contempt for guests paying $1,000 a night. When I casually asked one staff member how long they'd worked there, they responded "Too long." The hotel feels like an inescapable hellhole even the employees want to flee. Beach access is a legalistic nightmare managed by the HOA, not the hotel. Our access card didn't work at the beach gate. After exchanging it, the second card also failed. The front desk admitted "Sometimes the HOA changes these badges without telling us." A stranger had to let us through. The beach itself is divided into HOA-managed boxes with strict rules. We arrived at 8:37 AM but were told we couldn't sit in beach chairs until exactly 9 AM—though we could lay towels in front of the empty chairs. What could be more relaxing than a beach vacation managed by an HOA president! After being unable to eat a meal or properly access the beach—the two most basic hotel functions—we felt completely unwelcome. Every simple request was treated as a "problem" to manage rather than service to provide. We packed and left less than 24 hours after arrival. The staff wasn't surprised. I suspect many would have left with us if given the choice.

The Pearl is an exceptional boutique hotel with attention to every detail. The service, food, and accommodations were first-class.
