A Wonderful Return to Fairmont St Andrews ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Following a disappointing stay earlier this year, we were kindly invited back to Fairmont St Andrews, and I’m delighted to say that our recent visit was absolutely wonderful! Having visited the hotel regularly over the years, it was lovely to experience the exceptional hospitality and attention to detail that made us fall in love with Fairmont in the first place. We were particularly delighted to see the buffet breakfast has returned! Such a welcome improvement and something we had really missed during our previous visit. One particular example of the outstanding customer service was when we requested a taxi into St Andrews. After being told there would be a 15-minute wait, the concierge very kindly arranged a private transfer to take us into town instead. This was after the last shuttle service. Such a thoughtful gesture and a perfect example of staff going above and beyond for their guests. A special thank you to Lesley, who took our previous concerns seriously and made it possible for us to return and enjoy such a lovely experience. It’s easy to leave a negative review when things go wrong, but I think it’s equally important to recognise when a hotel makes a genuine effort to put things right. We’re so pleased to have had our confidence restored in a hotel we’ve loved visiting for many years. Thank you, Fairmont St Andrews. We look forward to returning again soon! ❤️

Stayed 20th Sept for 2 nights. Arrived early to make the most of the day and our room was ready which was really good. The room was lovely and very clean and the bathroom had everthing you would need and more. We got the courtesy bus into town for a restaurant meal and taxi back to hotel. When we went into our room the unexpected surprise was that housekeeping had been in to turn down the bed and leave water on the side tables, a nice touch. However on our second night this did not happen. Went down to the bar for a drink (a great selection) and I have to say the staff were most attentive walking round the tables to ask if anyone needed their drink refreshed. On the second night, although there seemed to be plenty of staff around, nobody came round asking if anyone would like another drink until one of the waitresses, who had been working in the restaurant, appeared and started going round the tables. At breakfast on both mornings there was a huge selection on offer including a la carte cooked options. The only disappointment to us was that the plates for the hot buffet were cold. This meant that once the warm food was added it quickly became almost cold. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would have given this review 5 stars but for the cold plates at breakfast and the inconsistencies in service.

I had a lovely experience at Fairmont for evening tea. The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was wonderful. A special mention to Meghana who was very friendly attentive and made us feel really welcome throughout our visit. She was so kind and helpful which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you Meghana for the lovely service! ❤️

I had a wonderful afternoon tea experience at the Fairmont. The service was excellent, and Meghana was particularly attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The cakes were absolutely delicious, and everything was beautifully presented.
