Fairmont St Andrews

Was my 85th birthday. The location is superb. Access to St Andrews is via the hotels mini bus, to and from. On one day I walked the coastal path , lovely but a degree of energy and flexibility is required. The atmosphere is quiet and laid back and the staff are superb. Got the hotel mini bus on return. The hotel overall and the room was lovely, clean and of more than adequate size. You get what you pay for. The grounds are superb and you do not have to be a golfer to appreciate the extensive grounds. The silence was deafening. Self service breakfast buffet was enormous or you could be served as required. In the evening we ate a seafood stack in the clubhouse overlooking the sea, wonderful, not cheap but worthy of the occasion and of superb quality and quantity. In the evening we dined in the hotel Italian restuarant which was lovely. There is also a gym, spa and pool which we did not utilise but looked very inviting. Would we go back? do not try to stop us

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. From start to finish, the Fairmont St Andrews was absolutely wonderful, Ayesha and whole team went above and beyond to make our day so special. The venue was stunning, the food was amazing and every little detail was taken care of perfectly. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the team were so attentive, friendly and professional throughout. Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of and more, and we are so grateful to everyone at the Fairmont for helping make it such a magical and unforgettable day. We couldn’t recommend the Fairmont St Andrews highly enough! ❤️

We had the most wonderful Strathberry Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont St. Andrews—a truly luxurious treat in a truly beautiful location. From the moment we arrived, we were looked after exceptionally well by Joseph and Meghana. Both were absolutely delightful, attentive and wonderfully knowledgeable about every element of the experience, making the afternoon feel even more special. We also must mention the lovely atmosphere made possible by the lovely pianist, beautiful. The volume level of noise was just enough to keep our conversation private. We began by choosing from an impressive selection of teas before enjoying a delicious savoury course of delicate sandwiches and pastry delights. We wisely tried not to finish every last bite, knowing that the sweet creations were still to come—and we were so glad we saved some room! When the desserts arrived, I was astonished by the precision and artistry involved. The miniature Strathberry handbag and luggage tag were so beautifully crafted that it felt almost criminal to eat them. Every detail was exquisite and the treats tasted every bit as wonderful as they looked. Even the crockery stole the show, with its beautiful, sophisticated designs—especially the charming little bees, which I absolutely adored as I am rather partial to them. Put that with the very clean crisp white linen and I was sold. We were offered as much tea as we wished, never felt hurried and were kindly invited to take home anything we couldn’t manage. True Value for money. Just when we thought the experience had come to an end, out came the “finishing cake,” with a choice of pecan tart or chocolate cake—the perfect final flourish. It was a superb afternoon from beginning to end, combining exceptional service, stunning presentation and delicious food in a truly beautiful setting. I don’t think I’ll need to eat anything sweet for the next week—but it was absolutely worth it! A very special experience that I would highly recommend.

Brilliant afternoon tea. The service from Meghana was top notch, she was wonderfully helpful and happy throughout.

The Strathberry afternoon tea was a great experience, the savouries were delightful and the sweets were delicious and plentiful. The scones were excellent, with a generous helping of clotted cream, jam and an amazing lemon curd. The two bonus treats were seriously filling and just as tasty as the rest of the afternoon tea . Also, the selection of teas were excellent, and made with loose leaves which is always a bonus. The black vanilla was a new one to me and I loved it Service from Nadia was excellent.
