Simply outstanding - having stayed in many 5 star hotels in St Andrews this is our favourite. A seamless check in where we were welcomed by extremely friendly staff and given a glass of Prosecco. The rooms were spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is the best we have ever had in a hotel in the UK. All staff very professional and attentive.

So well looked after from the moment we arrived. Beautiful rooms, fantastic food and excellent service. Best hotel in Scotland!

We came here as part of our 20th anniversary trip and had a really great time. The hotel acknowledged our anniversary which was much appreciated, by sending up champagne and appetizers. The room was lovely - we had a Champions King Room. The shower was heavenly! The front desk staff when we checked in was great, however, the rest of the trip, there were different people working and they were pretty rude and unhelpful. The guys at the concierge desk were also pretty unfriendly to me specifically - I saw them kindly greet others consistently, but never me. I did have a pretty negative interaction with the spa as well. I called down dozens of times but they refused to answer the phone (and I say refused, because I went down there and they were working at the empty front desk, actively not answering the phone as it rang). However, even with those things, this hotel was absolutely lovely. The location is unbeatable. Every morning I took breakfast in front of my window, with the doors flung open to the crisp sea air, as I watched golfers on the Old Course. My husband waved to me as he golfed on by, having the absolute time of his life. It was perfect. We are already planning our next trip, this time, with our kids.

The hotel is large and luxurious. Room was spacious and well equipped, very clean. Deep bath bring your snorkel! We were given an adjoining room separated by a relatively thin door - we could hear our neighbours chatting in our room. Although hotel seemed relatively empty, we were given a room with a view of the facilities area and car park. Spa is nice, but booking essential and some features like the hydro pool were turned off by 7pm when evening guest access is 6-8pm! Location is fantastic, as were the staff.

We stayed here for a few nights as an anniversary treat and it did not disappoint! The hotel itself is stunning and opulent when you drive up and enter the lobby. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The room was lovely, very clean and modern but still with some old Scottish charm. The pool facilities are outstanding and very relaxing, make sure you book your spa experience for pool access when you check in as it can fill up quickly. We only ate in the bar after a few glasses of wine and only had breakfast in the main hotel the few days we stayed but the food was lovely and the service was outstanding
