The best hotel.
We've been regular visitors to the Old Course hotel. Having just returned from a three day visit, I wish to thank all the staff we met but especially Anita who has overseen the breakfasts for twenty years, David, one of the concierge team and the maitre d who ensured we were well catered for at dinner. A perfect break at our favourite place.

Did not stay at the hotel, but…
…enjoyed our visit. Very friendly welcome from the doorman. We wanted to see the Hall of Champions and he gladly directed us to its location. Great history - nicely done. Then, we wandered around a bit and decided to stop in at the bar for drinks. Enjoyed a table overlooking the greens. Great service. Had a pizza too - deelish. Visited the Pro Shop too and had to buy a golf shirt and hat. Fun visit.

Great hotel for a St. Andrew’s visit.
We spent two nights here and this is the perfect location for visiting Saint Andrews village and the golf course. This is a great little town for walking and the walks around the course and beach are great, even for non golfers. The views from the 4th floor bar are wonderful.

80th birthday celebrations
Thank you to all the Afternoon Tea team who made my mum’s 80th birthday so special. From the moment we arrived the birthday girl was given 5 star treatment. We were treated to champagne before a delicious selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Everything was top-notch. The service throughout was warm, friendly and attentive. We had a gorgeous view from our table on a sunny, clear day. The highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of a stunning birthday cake. We had ordered this and expected a simple sponge! Wow, it was a work of art, beautifully decorated with red rose buds and gold leaf. Stunning. It was boxed up to take home as we were all full but we can confirm it tasted as good as it looked when we sampled some later in the day. Thank you so much Old Course for making my mum’s big birthday a day to remember for all the right reasons!

We stayed at this hotel a couple of times after lockdown. It was dated but there was nowhere else to go. They kept increasing the prices so we have not been back since. There is little outside space and the roof terrace was not available for both the years we visited. We have started to receive e-mails despite blocking them. Do they not realise customers will not pay their prices?
