The dignified, turreted Rufflet's Country House Hotel is one of the oldest established country manor hotels in Scotland. This member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World is set in 10 acres of award-winning gardens just a mile west of St. Andrews and has been awarded 5 Stars by the Scottish Tourist Board. The main house and two separate lodges offer exquisite guestrooms and suites, all furnished with a tasteful blend of contemporary and antique styles. Fresh local produce and prime Scottish beef highlight fine dining at the Garden Restaurant, recipient of a much-coveted two AA Rosettes.

Our daughter planned her wedding at Rufflets with the help of their wedding coordinator. All don via phone & computer. It turned out to be the wedding of her dreams. All recommended contractors for hair & make-up, photography, music, DJ, flowers & cake were all exellent

Beautiful location! Grounds are outstanding! Great for a stroll! Reception took a while as no one at the desk. But very friendly and welcoming, and helped us with our bags! Bonus with all the steps! We stayed in the turret room and it was lovely. ( no a/c) my fish and chips was delish! Highly reccomend. Breakfast was lively as well

Our review of Rufflets. This was a fantastic Gem and it exceded our expectation of what we were going to get. When told we were in the gatehouse we were not sure what to expect but it was fabulous. The young fellow at the bar was fantastic and knew his scotches.

A very quiet, peaceful location with lovely gardens. The food was exceptional. Staffs were friendly, helpful, professional and competent. Convenient to St. Andrews

A lovely stay in St Andrews. The highlight for me was the beautiful gardens, which give the hotel a special atmosphere and make it feel wonderfully peaceful and quiet despite being close to town. My room was comfortable and full of character, and the service and overall experience was warm and enjoyable. One night was not enough. I'd happily come back, not least to see the gardens in a different season and experience them from a new perspective.
