Rufflets, St. Andrews

Wow what an amazing overnight stay at this incredible place! We stayed in a woodland suites which was a luxurious quirky take on a Shepard’s hut ! We had a fabulous copper bath in the room, gorgeous bed with skylight so we could look up into the night sky. We had a balcony too and we were lucky enough to have dinner there on a warm sunny evening…..perfect with a babbling burn and woodland views. We honestly couldn’t fault the accommodation, food, service or stunning grounds! The gardens are beautiful with colourful wild flowers and great features. We didn’t want to leave!

The rooms were very nice, the staff were even nicer. Very friendly, connecting with our children and accomplished make a restful stay.

Perfect, everything! We enjoied very much, friendly people in a fantastic Location, must have seen in St Andrews - the Place to be!

Beautiful suite and view of the gardens. Very spacious, clean room with nice furnishings and even a working fireplace! Loved strolling in the vast gardens. Quiet, serene setting. Besides the limited vegan options for dinner and breakfast, we would definitely return but plan to eat elsewhere. Value is on par with most overpriced accommodations throughout GB, particularly Scotland.

We had really looked forward to our stay at Rufflets as a prefect ending to a two week trip around Scotland only to leave disappointed. On arrival we had to call several times before a person arrived at the reception to check us in. Our two suites wasn’t properly cleaned and had breadcrumbs on the table and dead insects on the windows. The quality of our dinner was so-so, we’ve dined at inn’s serving better food and breakfast was equally disappointing, we’ve did not get the food ordered. Finally, when checking out, our bill had items added that shouldn’t been there. A lot of small things that adds up to a disappointing stay. And add to that that most of the staff seems like they would rather be somewhere else.
