Staff all very pleasant and most helpful. Room very clean and niceely furnished. Excellent grounds to the hotel. Rather restricted food choice for dinner.

Our daughter's wedding was held over the weekend and it was a perfect event. The hotel staff were exceptional. The wedding fayre was again first class. It is difficult to cater for 80 people and deliver perfectly cooked meals that remain warm and arrive at the table on time. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and I must compliment the gardeners. We even managed to hold the service outside in the April sunshine, utilising the sheltered area adjacent to the main building.

.We were given our room keys late in the day to find it had not been cleaned from the previous stay. No other rooms available within the hotel, so received an upgrade to a cabin situated outside the hotel. Offered complimentary drinks when we both don't drink. Overall disappointing for value for money

Rufflets main building is not a typical new style hotel but makes good use of its charming rooms, gardens and newer cottages and facilities. I cannot over-emphasise how genuinely friendly and attentive the staff are. All in all a very good hotel, that despite needing some external painting and repairs, still has kept its class reputation over the years.

We chose this hotel on the recommendation of friends and having seen the website. I made my booking by telephone as I wanted to discuss the room options and found the the booking process excellent - the passion for the place came across in the call and excellent phone skills are not always easy to find. We chose the Mulberry Suite which was excellent with great views, and very comfortable. The service in breakfast and dinner and in the bar was very good - and the team had excellent knowledge of local produce. The restaurant was also very sensibly priced. Great location for exploring the region and on site parking make this a wonderful place to stay. We will return.
