Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth

My husband and I just returned from an incredible trip to St. Barthelemy. We were fortunate enough to stay at Rosewood Le Guanahani; our experience there far exceeded all our expectations and earned more than the 5 stars available. Max and his team are truly exceptional. They have mastered professionalism all while somehow making you feel that you’re staying with friends – a truly remarkable accomplishment in the hospitality industry. The resort is located on a private peninsula, providing breathtaking views, gentle breezes and a magical atmosphere of relaxed luxury. The setting is idyllic – a tropical paradise with plenty of turtles, peaceful bird serenades, and a couple of elusive iguanas, along with stunning artwork nestled throughout the resort. If you are reading these comments and considering a visit here, you should know that the food is delicious, the Sunday beach barbeque superb, and the views & villas stunning. There were a significant number of team members working at the resort to ensure that all our needs were anticipated and met without exception. I applaud the many teams (Concierge, Guest Experiences, and the Beach House) for being so thoughtful and providing many beautiful touches throughout our stay. We loved the handwritten notes, the sweet treats, champagne and rosé, but above all that, the incredibly friendly smiles and kindness shared with us will not be forgotten (especially the birthday ballons and cake that surprised me in our villa after spending an amazing afternoon on the beautiful beach). The countless team members working behind the scenes keeping our room immaculate and the grounds so beautiful deserve extra kudos – this is not a small feat in a tropical setting. I would summarize by saying that this was a once in a lifetime experience, but I won’t, because we’re already planning another trip back to St. Barth’s and Rosewood Le Guanahani. The staff was more than accommodating to us. The rooms are good and the property is beautiful. There only downfall is that it’s very far from everything. However if you are looking at a peaceful secluded vacation this is the place to be!

Top notch service and food. Jules was a great server, and Sam was an outstanding representative of Rosewood. Polished and well spoken, he remembered our names and made a point to greet us daily. Paul at the bar was also very sharp and accommodating. Highly recommend.

The Rosewood Guanahani is a wonderfully managed property. The rooms and grounds are meticulously maintained, and the staff was there to meet every need. Breakfasts and lunches were exceptional but our one dinner experience, Italian night, was ordinary by St. Barth's dining standards. We loved our week at the property but will probably return in January or early February when the atmosphere is more adult than we found during Spring Break.

We have just returned from a five night stay at this amazing property (our stay was supposed to be four nights, but the blizzard in the northeast gave us another great day and night). The property itself is amazingly well kept. We enjoyed saying good morning each day to the wonderful landscaping crew always hard at work maintaining the tropical greens and the soft white sand. The housekeeping staff kept the ocean cove room (41) in great shape, adding pleasant personal touches along the way. We’ve been to many “luxury” “boutique” five star spots around the globe - this one deserves special praise. It’s interesting - a beautiful resort is one thing, a beautiful resort staffed by incredibly caring people is quite another. This Rosewood property has both. Spa staff, beach attendants, concierge team, in room dining, housekeeping, management, restaurant team members, and bar staff always sincerely made you feel welcome. Their refined hospitality skills, well practiced English with a French accent, were evident at every turn. Meals were delicious, Avian and Pellegrino water bottles always available, and a great morning breakfast and coffee station to name a few key points. On an island filled with amazing properties, Rosewood Le Guanahani will be where we will return hopefully next year. Special shout out to our great yoga instructor Daina, Samuel at the beach who truly cared about the guests, the front desk team that dashed into town to buy a computer charger that we had forgotten and manager Thibaut who made every guest feel welcome and special. Last special bonus feature - the amazing creatures that call the property home: peaceful turtles munching the grass, a hummingbird mom who makes her nest in the serene spa pool garden, the sea turtles who share their ocean with you and a couple of skittish cats dodging through the bushes.
