Reviews for Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club

Poor resolution to a major problem in the Villa.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

A beautiful location, but the management resolves problems that occur poorly. If you have no problems with your room, it would otherwise be a nice "location". The furnishings are worn; they could be updated. Their beach front is rough waters; you have to walk down the beach to find the calm turquoise waters. Watch your invoice at check out! There were charges that did not belong there and they would not remove them! The management cannot be "wrong" here. It took them almost a week to move me, even though another villa was available. I would not return there nor recommend it to friends and I have never said that about any other place in the Caribbean! This review is based upon a couple of decades of annually traveling to the different Caribbean Islands.

One of the softest places on earth

Mount Cinnamon has spoiled me! It is soft quiet luxury with loud beauty and customer service excellence! My villa felt like home. I got some of the best sleep of my life in their comfy bed! Every morning I was greeted by glorious views of Grand Anse Beach along with abundant flora and fauna on the property. Food is chef’s kiss (LITERALLY!) and cocktails are dreamy! Their on-site Gym has every type of equipment for the novice and the pro lifter. Customer service - TOP TIER! I love Mount Cinnamon and by the way I was treated, Mount Cinnamon loves me back! I will definitely make Mount Cinnamon my ONLY choice when visiting Grenada. P.S. When you visit Mount Cinnamon, get the lentil and sweet potato cake in lemongrass coconut cream at The Flying Fish restaurant. It’s gooooood!

My best Caribbean Resort Experience.

My stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in lush greenery with sweeping views of Grand Anse Beach, it felt like waking up inside a Caribbean dream. My mornings began with scenic walks to the beachfront gym, followed by breakfast at an open-air restaurant where even the birds stop by for a bite. I mean, it’s a true wellness sanctuary. Then the culinary experiences. Just yum! Everything I ate at The Flying Fish was flavorful. The highlight was perhaps the unforgettable Six-Course Chef’s Table Experience, bringing together world renowned chefs with each moment was seasoned with intention, culture, and care. Oh, live music too! This resort is the very definition of wellness rooted in people, passion and a perfect place for you. My friend and I left refreshed, enchanted, and already certain of one thing: we’ll be back to Grenada and certainly back to Mount Cinnamon, the Caribbean’s purest experience, with a dash of Cinnamon.

We will be back!

Our family of 5 just returned from beautiful Grenada and the lovely Mt Cinnamon! I wanted to take the time to write this review while it is all fresh. I'll try to cover not only our accommodations, but some other info that may be helpful to other families. Front Desk/Concierge: Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted with smiling faces and hospitality. This remained true for the entirety of our trip. The front desk was available to answer questions, request a taxi, give advice, etc. Rondell was especially helpful! One of our best days was an outing with a local taxi driver (named Chris) that Rondell arranged for us after we arrived and decided we wanted to see more of the island. Chris took us to 7 sisters waterfalls and Tri Island chocolate, telling us local history and personal stories of growing up on the island as we drove. He also pointed out the many foods growing everywhere on Grenada. Our children loved this. Room: We stayed in Villa 5 and loved it! Very comfortable beds and pillows, a kitchen (the IGA is within walking distance so we stocked up on our first day), and a wonderful view. Housekeeping did a great job. Dining: Leonna, one of the restaurant managers, was very kind and added so much to our trip. When I commented that I would love to try cocoa tea, she made sure to have it available the next morning. The wait staff was very attentive at Flying Fish during breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was especially yummy, especially the French Toast and the Breakfast Roti. Our kids opted to just order a side of bacon to go with the spread of pastries, fruit, and yogurt. It was always a good way to start our morning. Beautiful view, friendly faces, and full bellies. We very much enjoyed the food at the Savvy's Beach Cabana at lunchtime. The Pina Colada with added nutmeg was great to sip on at the beach. We also enjoyed the bonfire beach bbq on Friday night (every Friday night). The food was delicious though I will say the music was very loud so it was hard to talk at the table. Other: The walk to the beach is a bit far from Villa 5 but don't let that discourage you. It's a beautiful peaceful walk. The water is clear and calm. Grand Anse beach has several restaurants that are in walking distance. My husband loved the Island Spice wings at Umbrellas. BBC beach is also closeby and more secluded than Grand Anse. You can easily walk there...just ask the hotel to point you in the direction. The pool was also nice to swim in as the day got warmer. We felt very safe in Grenada, even walking at night. Everyone we met was welcoming and kind. Places to see in Grenada: -Annadale Falls: Very accessible, great little swimming hole at the bottom and a bar/food on site. -Seven Sisters Falls: A bit of a hike but perfect for kids as it was manageable but adventurous enough. For reference, our kids are 11, 9, and 6. Our kids enjoyed swimming and looking for crayfish along the bottom (they packed their goggles). We only visited the bottom 2 falls as the hike to the upper 5 is challenging. -Tri-Island Chocolate: A bit expensive but educational and you are able to make your own chocolate bars. We stopped here on the way back from Seven Sisters. -House of Chocolate: Downtown in St Georges. The best icecream! Also, the lesson that is given is hands on and the kids enjoyed it. -Underwater Sculpture Park: Very cool for snorkeling though don't have a company to recommend as I didn't prefer the one we went with Highly Recommend Curt Monroe (curtmonroe@gmail.com) and Chris (Mt Cinnamon should be able to connect you) for private tours. It's more reasonably priced than some of the other offers and you learn so much and have so much flexibility. -Street Food Festival night at the Dodgy Dock on Wednesday

Unforgettable 45th birthday Stay in Grenada

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We stayed at Mount Cinnamon for a few nights and really loved the vibe. The views were absolutely stunning, waking up to that scenery every morning felt surreal. The resort is set on a hill, so expect a little walking, but it’s 100% worth it for those views. Kanilah, one of the manager, was fantastic. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about how we were doing. It’s rare to see a manager so hands-on, and she made us feel like family. And Shakim at the bar?Awesome. His drinks were on point and he had us laughing every night. Most of the staff we met were super friendly and helpful from the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was lovely. Only small letdown was dinner. It wasn’t terrible, just didn’t quite match the level of everything else. Breakfast and lunch were better. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend Mount Cinnamon. It’s laid back, the beach is perfect, and the people make it special. Hope to come back!

“Mount Cinnamon located in St.Georges, Grenada is a lovely & charming hillside property with magnificent views of turquoise water and ivory sand. The most picturesque harbor is the daily backdrop. Staffed with attentive and friendly folks that seem more like family then employees. The villas are tastefully decorated and roomy. The food was scrumptious! The only down side - because of the hillside location - it is ideal to be in good physical shape. For us, we used the "climb" to our room as our excuse for not using the gym!"
