Reviews for Alila Napa Valley

Great Resort, Incredible Location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

The Alila is a very nice resort right next to downtown St. Helena. We stay here often and always recommend this hotel to friends. We have learned that texting them when you are staying at the property works much better than trying to get someone to pick-up the photo. We were able to get immediate responses over texts, so we would highly recommend going this route when trying to reach someone.

Doesn't worth the money you paid at Napa Valley.

Way too expensive based on the property space and activities compared to our recent experience in Carmel Valley Ranch with the roughly the same expense per night stay.

We Didn't Want to Leave!

We loved our stay at the Alila Napa Valley! The property is so peaceful that sometimes we forgot that we were on HWY 29, minutes away from some of the best wineries and restaurants Napa Valley has to offer. Our suite was spacious as it was decadent. We definitely took advantage of the firepit on our private balcony, taking in the dreamy vineyard views. The staff was truly exceptional. Jasmine and Javier were professional and helpful upon check-in (and also via text). Jorge helped us to our room and gave a tour of our suite. I was surprised to hear that he was pretty new, because he seemed so natural, knowledgable, and polished. Tyler picked us up and dropped us off in the hotel shuttle car for our dinner, and we enjoyed a bottle of Champagne at the bar at the end of the night, thanks to Oscar. We will be back for another unforgettable stay!

Incredible and Meaningful stay

I stayed at Alila with my mom to celebrate the completion of my doctoral program. The stay was truly incredible. The staff were attentive, congratulatory and incredibly resourceful in giving local recommendations. Since St. Helena is such an intimate town, the car service gets you just about anywhere you need to go. The rooms, towels and linens were exceptionally clean and the view of the vineyards was stunning. I can't wait to return.

Amazing hotel within walking distance of town and lots of restaurants

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Alila and had a great overall experience. The hotel and room were excellent—modern, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is also a major plus, with easy access to everything nearby. The staff was consistently attentive and provided strong service throughout the stay. My only disappointment was being charged taxes on the stay despite booking with points. I’ve been part of the loyalty program for over 20 years and have stayed at properties around the world, and I don’t recall being charged taxes on award stays before. It may be specific to California, but it was unexpected. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with just one minor drawback.
