The property is ideally located next to the Beringer winery and has breathtaking views of the vineyards. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Good view from the vineyard view rooms, service is far from par for a hotel of this cost and supposed calibre. Restaurant was amazing and friendly and welcoming. The hotel staff is meh... Went into our room with DND when we specifically told them to leave the requested toiletries outside, and they confirmed. Couldn't get a hold of staff at midnight for said toiletries. Globalist .... I am torn, I like the restaurant, but did not feel I got my worth at the hotel...

This started as a work trip so i tried not to be disappointed when the service was lackluster at check in and i got a room overlooking a stream/parking lot vs the vineyard. During the event i over heard employees complaining about the group and how they thought all the flowers on the table were dumb cause they would just need to be moved. Super disrespectful to the event team who took so much time to make things look so beautiful. Before I arrived I decided to stay an extra night on my own dime so I asked if I could be moved for my final night and maybe get a room overlooking the vineyard, the girl didn’t really know if that could happen and she said she’d reach out to me. Well then the day they reached out via text and were like we can help you move to your new room. So I was pretty excited and I hurried up and got all of my stuff ready to then only be told well your room now won’t be ready until 4 o’clock. So then I had to go from noon until four without a room again. So since it was really hot, I decided that I would take the shuttle into the town to only be told by the valet team, but they were not running the shuttle and they were too busy. I asked when it would be running Or are there other options? And got a response that they were too busy… Like seriously?!? I go, but you’re busy, but maybe you could offer a guest that’s actually staying here some options. The entire trip I have felt more of an inconvenience to the staff, then welcomed by the staff. I will not be returning and I do not recommend this hotel.

Peaceful repsite that provided a perfect blend of relaxation and close proximity to wonderful adventures. Property assisted in a recommendation for a sunrise balloon ride that was BEYOND amazing... Will stay again and longer.

We stayed at Alila Napa Valley over Labor Day weekend 2026 and had a great experience. The property is beautiful and feels tucked away from the main road, making it peaceful and relaxing. It’s located just north of downtown St. Helena, so it’s also very convenient for walking or taking a short drive into town. Our room was a King with a pool and vineyard view, and the view was absolutely beautiful. It was the kind of place where you could just sit outside and stare into the distance for a while. The room itself was clean, modern, and updated, and nothing about it felt old or dated. We also had breakfast at Salvia Terrace and really enjoyed it. The food was great, and it was a nice way to start the day before heading out to explore the area. We used Alila as our home base while visiting St. Helena, Yountville, and Rutherford, and the location worked really well for exploring the surrounding Napa Valley area. The hotel also has a pool, which plenty of guests were enjoying during our stay, along with outdoor games like Jenga and cornhole. There’s also a spa on-site if you’re looking for a more relaxing day at the property. The staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, and we had no issues with the service. One thing to be aware of is that parking is valet-only and costs $35 per night. It’s not ideal to have an additional parking charge, but I can understand it given the level of service the hotel is aiming to provide. Overall, I thought Alila Napa Valley offered great value for an upscale stay in St. Helena. It’s a beautiful property with comfortable, modern rooms, great views, friendly service, and a convenient location for exploring Napa Valley. I would definitely consider staying here again.
