Wow, best holiday, hotel, staff, food, drinks my wife and I have ever experinced. Well done to Jason the General Manager for the "Top Gun" team you have created. Special thank you and praise to the following superstars, in no particular order: Richelle on reception - Went out of her way, you are the best, thank you. Rhea - always smiling, made our day Agnes - hope your vaction is going well, what the hotel be without Agnes Pat - Thanks to your professional training I now make the pefect poached eggs & omlettes, I cant wait for my next lesson, Aug we will be back. Quincy - You made us feel like we had our own personal waiter, always making sure we had a drink, you certainly kept the Green Monkeys flowing. Andrew - the historian, always ready with the champagne and a story, loved it. Saul - met on day 1 and made us feel at home straight away, absolutley genuine guy, thank you for all your advice. Devere - the best bar tender do not know how we would of survived without your fantastic evening cocktails. Shiontelle - always the like and soul, hope your voice has improved after the carnival, a real credit to the hotel. Shakeria / Andrea / Kristyn - made us feel like one of the family. Rasta Man - this guy can create the most exciting dishes, always came out of the kitchen to ask us how the food was. I understand the concept of this small hotel, you feel like your part of it, own it in a way. 5 star review all the way, missing you all, see you very soon. Congratulations.

We had such an amazing stay at The House! Before coming, I was honestly a little nervous because I had read some negative reviews, but please ignore them — our experience was completely different and exceeded our expectations. The service is truly what makes this hotel so special. Every single person we interacted with was lovely, welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. The staff really made us feel taken care of throughout our entire stay. Even though there is only one restaurant, the food was great! There was something different every day, so it never felt repetitive, and we really enjoyed everything we tried. Overall, the combination of the incredible service, wonderful staff, great food, and relaxing atmosphere made this a 5/5 stay for us. I would absolutely recommend The House and would happily stay here again. If you’re nervous because of some of the reviews like I was, don’t be — we had a wonderful experience!

We had the most amazing stay at The House while celebrating my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday. There were 8 of us ranging in age from 18 years old to 70 years old and it was exactly what we all needed. The grounds, property and pools are immaculate. The staff each and every one of them we interacted with on a daily basis were fantastic. They treated us as well as the other guests as if we were the only ones there. They knew us all by name and that added a special intimacy you don’t usually get. Panda the resort cat was the most perfect added bonus. We were so sad to leave them when our stay came to an end but they gave us the most wonderful send off. It definitely felt like our home away from home for the week. Although there is only one restaurant the menu changes daily and they absolutely accommodate special requests. The food was delicious and my 18 year old twin boys actually ate fish several times throughout the week. We did venture off property one night to dine at a local restaurant and although we enjoyed it we could not wait to get back to “our house.” We stayed onsite the rest of the week. The bartenders were friendly and always open to special request drinks that were not on their list of recommendations. There was a singer one night as well as a saxophone player another night we really enjoyed. We also enjoyed the company and conversation with the other guests during our stay. It was a very positive but chill atmosphere with the capabilities for you to make it what you want. The complimentary half hour massage turned into a 90 minute massage as it was that good! If you are looking for a smaller type resort with the most amazing staff, top notch cleanliness, a chill and relaxing atmosphere with the most beautiful backdrop and delicious food then look no further. I would highly recommend The House and would love to return again.

I’m writing this review on the last days of a relaxed week with my wife at this wonderful hotel. It is located in Paynes Bay, St. James on the west coast in a secluded spot, very quiet. The hotel next door is currently having some renovation but the noise from the work is not sufficient to disturb the ambience. I am aware of recent reviews that highlight this work as being noisy etc. but our experience hasn’t in anyway been affected. I should at this point mention we stayed at this hotel nine years ago for a short period around the same time of year. On the occasion we were here last it was bed and breakfast. It has recently changed to all inclusive. A move I feel was one for the better in relation to value for money. Our experience on that last occasion was our inspiration to return. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating. Each member of staff genuinely wants to help and make sure the experience of staying here is the best it can be. Our room was serviced and kept as it was when we arrived each day. Very clean with very efficient air con. I’m aware this is the off season for visitors due to the rainy season but although it has rained it soon clears away and the temperature is very warm. The hotel is one of five in the Autograph Collection owned by Marriot Bovoy. All of which are located in the west coast. A water taxi service runs to a strict timetable offering guests the ability to experience each hotel at no extra cost, seven days a week, at no extra cost. We visited each hotel and all are reasonable but in my opinion the best is without doubt The House. Being more intimate, smaller and adults only. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and ensure that we return in the future.

I stayed with them in July. Unfortunately, my experience with the checkout and billing process was extremely frustrating. I was mistakenly charged several thousand dollars in additional charges. Since then, getting the money refunded has been a painful and unnecessarily drawn-out process. The most recent date I was given for the refund to be credited back to me has now passed, and I still have not received the funds. Communication has also been disappointing, with emails sometimes going unanswered for days despite the significant amount of money involved. While I can only speak to my own experience, the billing error, continued delay in receiving my refund, and lack of timely communication have left me with a very negative impression. Overall, I had a poor experience at checkout and with the follow-up afterward.
