1) Over priced, in the extreme. 2) Living off the long-since past reputation when it was owned and operated by the legendary Rocco Forte (Forte Hotels). 3) A/C cannot be reduced below 21c (70F). ~ BUYER BEWARE ~

We booked the Sunday brunch as an anniversary treat and wow, this didn’t disappoint. We arrived slightly early and were offered a drink prior to dining. We visited the outdoor bar and had lovely cocktails. The brunch itself was incredible. Such a choice of items available and looked super fresh and well prepared. Husband loved the sushi, lovely choice of seafood (inc lobster and crab legs) and the pecan pie was gorgeous. Some live music played whilst we ate. A day we’ll not forget. Not cheap but worth every penny for the experience.

Went to Sandy Lane for afternoon tea as a treat. We had the classic tea but had pre tea cocktails, great choice and around $49 Barbadian each. Food was delicious - all fresh and beautifully presented. Jackie was our server and she was wonderful, attentive, knowledgeable about teas and the resort. Overall for 2 cocktails and 2 teas we paid $370 Barbadian but worth every penny for our Barbados treat

It lives up to all expectations! I had been staying at the nearby Royal Pavilion, but the hotel was awful, so I moved to Sandy Lane. I wish I had just come here to begin with. From start to finish the booking, checking in, holiday and vacating process was exceptional. They arrange a car to collect you. When you arrive you are greeted with a cocktail, a smile, a meet and greet with the team, including the general manager. Check in takes place in your room, and then you leave your bags and the team unpack for you. I was dubious about this part but they unpacked my rather chaotic suitcase better than I would have done. Everything hung immaculately, in colour order and in formal/casual order. The hotel and grounds are immaculate. Everyone is very friendly and the Manager / Assistant Managers are present walking around speaking to people, it is lovely to see them "on the ball" and with staff and guests. Room. Excellent. A tiny gripe would be the TV does not have many channels and it seemed impossible to stream from my phone/laptop even thought he feature is advertised. Bathroom. Magical Spa. Amazing. Make sure you use the Spa!!!! Pool. Devine. Beach. It is fantastic. Especially the watersports team who have years of experience and very helpful with all the free to use non motorised sports. Drinks. Expensive, as expected. But the best rum punch going! Food. Delicious and plentiful. You will not go hungry! Expensive, but again as expected. Everything was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We are staying at Sandy Lane after 12 wonderful. Nights in Mustique. The first night I tried to turn down the aircon in the room below 23 degrees. Impossible. Woke up sweating most of the night. I flagged this to the front desk the following morning and then when nothing had been fixed after we got ready for dinner I flagged it again … expecting it would be fixed when we returned from dinner. No such luck! Flagged it again the following the morning it was finally fixed. 2 nights out of 3 sleeping in a room that was 23 degrees. First world problems… but not five star service. NOW I am waiting for a maintenance guy at midnight because I can’t close the curtains/drapes because the stupid electronic button doesn’t work. WHY is there not a simple override to close the curtains manually and obviously housekeeping knew because they kept the drapes open at turn down service !! AWFUL !!
