The shingled guesthouses of Belle Mont Farm are surrounded by an edible landscape. Acres of organically and sustainably grown pineapples, mangos and all manners of vegetables burst from the lush fields of this remote farm, and wandering guests often find the ripe ones marked with “pick me” signs. Newly opened as a resort in the Kittitian Hills Community, this Preferred Hotels & Resorts property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group, adds thoughtful touches to make it feel like home. After spending the day exploring St. Kitts, recline in a candlelit tub on the veranda, then watch a movie projected onto a pull-down screen – popcorn provided.

Belle Monte Resort: • While the pictures look great and the location is wonderful surrounded by vegetation high on the mountain, the resort lacks so many features of a 4-5 star resort! • The main buildings are truly majestic and have a great potential to make this a fabulous resort but the staff just don’t cut it! • At least half of the bungalows are run down and abandoned! • Service is terrible. Severely understaffed. I takes forever to get food at the restaurant. • I’ve complained to the manager, but he just offers lip service saying they are very booked up, but I think that’s nonsense. You can fire a cannon thru here and not hit anybody. • Food is marginal at the resort. There is nowhere else to eat, restaurant wise, that is anywhere close to fine dining. We are at their mercy for food. • There is a restaurant associated with the hotel down by the ocean called Arthurs. It’s a complete disaster! What a dump. Great if you like fried food! It must cater to the locals and people from this resort that get duped into going there! • It takes forever for the staff to do anything. • The location on the North end of the island has nothing to offer. No beaches worthwhile. I think the south end of the island close to the airport has much more to offer but we are too far away from their to take advantage of that. • Housekeeping is marginal • Overall, I would never recommend this hotel to anybody until they start putting some money into maintaining the bungalows, the staff and service side of things. Maybe it’s a place to escape to??!! Probably one of our worst vacations ever (only our Cuban experience was worse). I hope you can pass this info (complaints) on to the appropriate people.

As a solo traveller, staying during Valentine’s week, at a luxury resort, I was worried I’d feel a bit uncomfortable, but the team were so friendly and kind and went out of their way to make me feel special. They all knew my name, always had time to answer my weird questions (which I had a lot of as I was on a research trip, not doing typically touristy things), and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious, the room was huge, the bed comfortable, nice projector screen TV, space for me to write, and a luxurious plein air bathroom. And the view! Exquisite! The resort was peaceful being high on the mountain, and every time I looked out the window there was nature of some form: birds, monkeys, cats, a frog! Thank you Belle Mont!

Our cottage was spectacular - gorgeous view of the sea and St Eustasius. Great location for rainbow viewing. We enjoyed our private deck and pool and even the outdoor bathroom - which is covered and curtained. We enjoyed our breakfasts at The Kitchen and dinners at Arthur's on the beach. One night we dined in The Kitchen for our 50th Anniversary. Also enjoyed flowers and champagne in our room. Very enjoyable visit.

My original post seems to have magically disappeared so thought I should warn people again. We came here when it had just opened for a mini moon and my engagement ring and my husbands Rolex were both stolen from our room. We believe the driver noticed we didn’t have them on when we went to explore the town and must have had some buddies go find them. The police were called but they acted like we were faking it to collect insurance money. The owner was apparently on premise and never even bothered to come see us. Needless to say we will never ever return to st kitts. Just a bunch crooks!
