About the Hotel

The shingled guesthouses of Belle Mont Farm are surrounded by an edible landscape. Acres of organically and sustainably grown pineapples, mangos and all manners of vegetables burst from the lush fields of this remote farm, and wandering guests often find the ripe ones marked with “pick me” signs. Newly opened as a resort in the Kittitian Hills Community, this Preferred Hotels & Resorts property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group, adds thoughtful touches to make it feel like home. After spending the day exploring St. Kitts, recline in a candlelit tub on the veranda, then watch a movie projected onto a pull-down screen – popcorn provided.

Engagement ring stolen!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

My original post seems to have magically disappeared so thought I should warn people again. We came here when it had just opened for a mini moon and my engagement ring and my husbands Rolex were both stolen from our room. We believe the driver noticed we didn’t have them on when we went to explore the town and must have had some buddies go find them. The police were called but they acted like we were faking it to collect insurance money. The owner was apparently on premise and never even bothered to come see us. Needless to say we will never ever return to st kitts. Just a bunch crooks!

Overpriced for what it is!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Rather surprised after staying here this place has such high ratings. It is very far from anything and even though it was the week before Christmas our family were the only ones in the entire complex. The complex is nice but everything seems in a but of disrepair. My kids had bugs and lizard (both alive and dead) in their rooms, my wife and I dealt with a strange urine odor in ours. The windows have clear plastic over them so can’t be opened. The shower was good for about 5 minutes or one quick person before hot water ran out. Breakfast was terrible! They provided a list of more items they didn’t have than what was available and what they did have tasted flat or stale. The ghost staff was small but nice. Just way over priced for what it is.

Enjoyed our stay at this unique resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

If you like to stay at places that are out of the ordinary then I highly recommend the Belle Mont Sanctuary resort for a unique experience. The resort is located in the foothills of the island’s volcano; the setting is beautiful. We stayed in one of the luxury cottages with plunge pool and were very fortunate to have the most delightful view, we could see many miles over the coast and the sea with the island of Sint Eustatius in the distance. The main building of the resort where The Kitchen restaurant is located as well as the pool and bar is gorgeous. Here is a more detailed breakdown: Cottage: Comfortable king sized bed, great view, refrigerator in room, TV Projector, AC and a ceiling fan. Bathroom is outdoors, there are curtains for privacy and each cottage is spaced a fair distance apart. As other reviewers have mentioned the plunge pool is not heated and on the cool side. However, it’s all relative, I estimate the pool temperature to be around 76/77 Fahrenheit, about 3 or 4 degrees warmer than Lake Ontario (where I live) in the summer. All appliances including TV streaming channels and AC worked fine, the fan is on one setting. There are insects and frogs that strike up a chorus as soon as the sun sets. We found that with the AC going it was enough to reduce the insect noise and slept very well. “The Kitchen” restaurant: Breakfast was very good each day. We had dinner there four or five nights, everything was well presented and tasty. Note that some menu items are dependent on availability. Transportation/Driving: Highly recommend renting a vehicle while on the island. The resort is located about a 10 minute drive along a small road from the main road that goes around the island. It is possible to use taxis but that can quickly get expensive and a rental car provides for much more freedom to explore. The road up to the resort is quite bumpy and in some places in disrepair (not unusual for the island). Tip: there are regular dips in the road used for drainage, there are posts on each side of the road for each dip so you can tell when you should proceed slowly. Tip: don’t rely on Google Maps to get you to the resort, for some reason it takes you down some tracks that are in roughly the right direction but don’t actually get you there! Instead, head for the town of St Paul’s. If going clockwise around the island drive through the town, as you come out of the town look for a road on the right with signs on either side for “Kittitian Hill”. If going anti-clockwise the turning is on the left about 1.5 miles from Dieppe Bay Town. Parking: Parking at the resort is lower down the hill. Staff will drive you to your cottage when you arrive. Since the resort is quite hilly, a simple phone call and someone will come and take you to the restaurant or parking lot. Tip: call 10 mins ahead of when you need someone to come get you. Mosquitoes: I read some reviews about mosquitoes so came well prepared to combat anything that might be a problem. There are mosquitos but really not much of an issue (despite us getting some rain most nights), we stayed 9 nights and during that time found only one mosquito in our cottage. I do recommend bringing some repellent (they have deet if you forget) to use if you’re outside after the sun goes down. Sunday Brunch/Farm Table: Sunday Brunch is once a month, last weekend of the month. We weren’t able to experience that but I’m sure it’s good given our experience with breakfast/dinner. Farm Table only available if enough guests sign up which I guess is only during peak season. Other notes: When you stay there, you will see some cottages that are in disrepair and some buildings that have not been finished. This in no way detracts from the ambiance; this is a very nice resort in a beautiful location. I should note that there is a large staff that are only too happy to help as well as workers keeping the grounds in good shape.

A beautiful sanctuary that needs some upkeep!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The grounds are beautiful but there is some decay in the upkeep, some houses look like they can collapse any moment. The toilets are outside in the open air, I liked it but it’s hard to go outside in the middle of the night. The breakfast is beautiful but the breakfast staff was very grumpy every morning and the service extremely slow. Pool staff was excellent.

Relaxing Stay with a Great View!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

What a wonderful and relaxing 4-night vacation we had. The room was absolutely beautiful. The pool was a little cool but that didn't stop us from going in, especially when it was very hot out. Everyone was so accommodating and learned our name from the first day. Drinks at the pool bar were amazing so was the seafood pizza. My only complaint is that the spa was closed while we were there. I was really planning on getting a massage especially on the day that the weather didn't cooperate with us. But we do plan on returning in the future. Thank You to Floyd, Eugene and Timeco for taking such great care of us!
