Moonrise Hotel

Cute boutique hotel but it is situated in a slightly rundown part of town. We went at a time during the week it was desolate. There wasn’t enough staff to keep open roof top bar or restaurant for the evening. We were coming through town on a moving trip with multiple family members. We got in around 7pm, and were disappointed we couldn’t use either as it was described at the website. Rooms were well appointed and clean. The rainfall shower is amazing…so that was nice! Breakfast buffet was sufficient but no oatmeal or cereal if that’s what you are wanting. Plenty of free parking behind hotel but park at your own risk. People working there nice and pleasant.

I had a very disappointing 4-night stay at the Moonrise Hotel a few weeks ago. The in-house telephone system was not working as desk clerk acknowledged. When I took clerk’s advice and used my cell phone from my room, I regularly got the message that the mailbox was full so that I couldn’t even leave a message. Dangerous! Restaurant was not open any morning and most evenings despite posted hours both online and in the hotel. Several times clerks gave me false information about when full restaurant would be open. I was invited to use the rooftop bar, which only served bar appetizers. Guest had a barking dog in her room. Dog and I were on the third floor. Clerk told me 4th floor was “dog friendly.” There was no information about such a policy either online or posted in the hotel. Clerk never followed up except to offer the inconvenience of changing MY room. I won’t go into the liabilities for the hotel of such a poorly administered policy. Room service only offered on demand. When I made the request just once during my stay, specific needs regarding empty toiletry containers in shower and coffee packs were ignored. Over $200 in fees and taxes was added to the room price initially agreed to.

I give 0 out of 5 for this hotel. This hotel sucks!! Why? I am currently staying on 7 the floor and the noise from 8th floor bar is too noisy that I cannot sleep as I need to get up at 5 am to go to airport. I called the front desk, and the attendant says he cannot do anything about it and the music noise will continue until midnight. He hung up on me. So when I called to ask why he hung up on me, he was yelling that he can’t do anything about it and I needed to talk to the manager. Apparently there is no attending manager in the evening in this hotel. The attendant can’t do anything in an emergency. I strongly recommend anyone against this hotel.

Great location for a concert we were attending at the Pagent. Everything was great! We will absolutely stay here again for any trips we have to the St. Louis area.

We stayed at this adorable boutique hotel for one evening during a road trip. It was a great place to land. The hotel is decorated all in Moon theme and it’s really well done. The hotel staff was very, very friendly and inviting. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We were also driving along with our 10 pound dog who also enjoyed his experience. Everyone was very warm and friendly. There was coffee in the room, a lovely fitness room, and easy access to refilling our water.
