Nestled among olive trees and pines, only a short distance from the center of St. Remy de Provence, the Le Vallon de Valrugues & Spa ushers guests into a world of unstinting elegance and refinement. Here the traditional past brilliantly merges with the pampering present in recently redecorated guest rooms enhanced with French Provencal furnishings and 18th century fabrics. And with views of the gardens, the outdoor pool, and the sumptuous landscape of the Alpilles or the Mont Ventoux, stylish escape is a fait accompli.

We (my husband, sister and I) recently returned from a visit to Southern France and we enjoyed our stay at Le Vallon De Valrugues. If you are looking to stay near St. Remy but not in town, this is your place. You can easily walk into St. Remy in approx 10 min. Although we had a lovely time and were treated very well by the staff - in my opinion, the hotel definitely needs a face lift. The outdoor areas are well kept and attractive - lovely pool area and grounds, really nice and plentiful outdoor breakfast, and easy parking. What needs to be improved are all the public areas (and gym, spa) including front desk / check in and the room decor. We booked a junior suite which was spacious and clean - but again, old decor, dim lighting, bathrooms that needed upgrading. we met some guest staying in "houses" on the property and they said the houses were really nice. Other guests we chatted with agreed with our critique. The staff was all wonderful - helpful and friendly. Merci to you all! All the front desk, porters and concierge are warm, welcoming, and kind. Although listed as a 5 star, it's really more of a 4 star. The bones are there and it has the potential to be really superb.

We have just come back from a short tour of Provence, and this was my pick of the hotels we stayed in. I think the main picture gives the impression that the hotel is quite large, but I personally don’t feel it does full justice to the hotel building and especially the delightful setting. This is a lovely and stylish boutique hotel. The gardens and pool are very well presented and the bar and restaurant excellent, with very friendly and helpful staff, especially in the bar! A very special mention must go to Evita from the concierge, who made us feel so welcome, recommended and arranged trips and reservations for lunch, ensured we were looked after at breakfast and generally just made us feel very special. She in particular, is an absolute credit to the hotel! Thoroughly recommended!

Check-in makes you feel that you have landed in a Monty Python movie but not in a good way. The only person at the reception is also showing the hotel amenities, and the rooms to the guest. So, if you have two persons in front of you, which was my case when I checked in, you are in for a 30-40min. wait before you get your room. In my case, the suite was not ready at 3pm, so I had to wait an additional hour. Patience is again key if you want to call anybody, whether the front desk, room service, or housekeeping. I felt lucky when I could get someone on the phone after trying for close to half an hour. Among the number of issues with the suite, my refrigerator was lukewarm but nothing could be done about it because this was "the way it is supposed to be". On the positive side, the building is nice, the restaurant is solid, and the valet from the parking, who is also the baggage handler, was very nice. Not enough to fully compensate for the disappointment though, especially as a Hilton Honor Diamond Member.

What a wonderful spot! Beautiful and spacious rooms, great service, and perfect location. Walk to town in 5-7 minutes. We will be back!

We stayed here for my 60 th Birthday with our Dog and Cat . It was excellent. The staff were all amazing too many to mention but Emma the Concierge who recommended some fantastic restaurants tailored to our needs and Gabriel as well for the friendly welcome and shuttle bus service. We had a lovely bedroom with a nice sitting area . The Spa was very nice it’s a shame we couldn’t use it before Breakfast thought .We really loved our stay and already planning to return . The rooms were also very soundproof which we liked . Thanks again to all the staff from the reception to the cleaning staff you are all so lovely.
