The Byblos Palace hotel is a luxury location in the heart of Saint-Tropez and invites you to enjoy a magical and timeless getaway between Provence and French Riviera. Refined, exclusive, the Byblos Saint-Tropez (40 rooms & 50 suites) is a magical destination by itself: located in the very heart of the village. Each room and suite is uniquely decorated in a Provençal theme and are fully equipped. In the daytime, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, yet in the evening, it transforms into an elegant and classically ‘Tropezian’ location. Live entertainment every evening. After dinner, end up your Tropezian day at our world renowned nightclub: Les Caves du Roy. Enjoy precious moments at the Spa by Sisley and Byblos Beach on Pampelonne Bay. Byblos offers also an outdoor heated pool and two fitness rooms.

I stayed at Hotel Byblos in Saint-Tropez for two nights in a suite with a pool view. I arrived around 6 pm on September 12th and checked out on the 14th. Unfortunately, on the 13th it rained heavily all day, so I could not even enjoy the beach, which was one of the main reasons for my visit. The real disappointment was the hotel’s approach to check-in and check-out times. Byblos is the only so-called luxury hotel I have ever visited where check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am, even though breakfast runs until 11. In virtually every other luxury property I have stayed at, the standard is 3 pm check-in and 12 noon check-out, and late check-out of 30 minutes or even an hour is granted without any problem — even when the next guest is arriving the same day. That is simply considered normal courtesy. At Byblos, where check-in does not even start until 4 pm, refusing such a basic request is even weaker. It clearly shows the hotel’s bad will and poor management. When I asked about a late check-out, one receptionist told me that noon would be possible, but anything later would require the manager’s approval. The next day, when I asked another receptionist, she had no idea I had already been given noon and told me the maximum was 11:30. Later she came back and said she had spoken to the manager, and they would “allow” noon. This chaos and inconsistency make it clear that decisions were being made arbitrarily, not according to any real policy. Many of my friends had stayed at Byblos in previous years and never encountered such issues, but I have since learned that the hotel recently changed management — which might explain why things that were once simple are now unnecessarily complicated. The atmosphere at Byblos also felt artificial rather than genuinely welcoming. Apart from a few senior concierges who clearly know their job and deliver professional service, the rest of the team seemed average at best. I even witnessed a receptionist roll her eyes while a guest was simply checking his bill at check-out. This kind of behavior does not reflect the professionalism of a true luxury property. Ironically, after leaving Byblos I checked into the Carlton in Cannes, where—without even asking—I was warmly offered a 2 pm check-out. That is the standard of service and flexibility expected from a hotel in this category. Despite its reputation, Byblos did not meet luxury standards, and for me, this experience deserves only one star. The only true positives I can mention are that IQOS smoking is allowed everywhere — at breakfast, at dinner, indoors and outdoors — and the restaurant service staff were genuinely friendly. Pleasant, yes, but certainly not enough to justify a two-star rating.

Lovely hotel, impeccable service, multiple visits here year after year. Only writing a review here because room 234 with the garbage loading dock view and early morning load after load of breaking glass and garbage truck wake up call shouldn't be sold as a €2,500/night suite.

The Byblos Hotel far exceeded my expectations. The website does not do it justice. Let’s start with the location - as close as you can get to the town for a 5 star. The rooms were well appointed and adorned with welcome gifts, treats and a treat nightly. The pool is lovely (unheated tho) and the lounge chairs are so comfortable and makes a great place to relax and chill. At night, the hotel turns into an amazing lounge and below is one of Saint Tropez’s premier nightclubs. And saving the best for last - the service is EXCEPTIONAL. If you need something in your room it will be there within minutes. The concierge staff are all excellent offering accurate and good advice which helped for our fantastic experience in beautiful Saint Tropez.

Amazing experience at the hotel. Staff was very kind and the food was delicious. Only issue we had was the night club being very noisy. Other than that , it was perfect!
