Reviews for Grand Hotel Billia

A lovely hotel for a romantic vacation.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

A very meticulous hotel, well-equipped rooms and in a lovely area. Very clean and with courteous and professional staff. Suitable for couples and those who come to the casino. Less suitable for skiers due to the great distance from the ski resorts, lack of information about the condition of the sites and lack of ski pass sales, surface parking and not covered parking makes it difficult to start the trip in winter. The spa is excellent when it is working and not during a maintenance period (unfortunately the hotel only informed us of this after check-in and not before). The gym is closed early in the morning and therefore was not available to us. The breakfast is varied but does not change from day to day. The water in the rooms is warm but not very hot (2-3 degrees missing).

Very satisfying stay!

Hotel staff service were excellent during our stay there. We were being notified in advance by the hotel of road blocks due to an event on the day of our check out. This is so important and they did a good job by reminding us to set off early so we wouldn't have to rush or miss our flight. Will be back when I visit Milan again.

Poor price-performance ratio

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 months ago

The hotel is spacious and features conference rooms, a bar, a restaurant, and a swimming pool. The rooms are functional and clean. We were disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. The staff speaks little or no English. The price/performance ratio is not good.

STUNNING IN EVERY WAY!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 months ago

The Grand Hotel Billia perched high in the Italian Alps is one of the most incredible Belle Epoque grand hotels you could ever stay at. From the moment you step inside, the reception area is huge with spectacular mountain views. The room we were allotted was incredible and any window you loo out of, those spectacular mountains are always present. We spent the night in at the bar as we snacked and enjoyed our cocktails in one of the most incredible hotel bars in the world. The indoor and outdoor pools as we as the spa are incredible as are the saunas and hammam. We loved the breakfast hall and the wide variety of breakfast choices available. Are one regret? That's easy...we should have spent three or four nights here. Next time we surely will!

Pleasant surprise

Lovely old hotel, but modern and clean inside. We loved it so much that we are already planning our next business meeting there!
