Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City, Utah

Everything about the Kimpton was first class, room was lovely and had a solid nights sleep. Breakfast was really nice, can recommend the eggs Benedict probably the best I’ve ever had. On our deal we had two breakfasts included with the stay for a party of 3 mentioned to our waitress and she got us another complimentary breakfast. Can’t recommend the place enough.

Great downtown location in a stylish art deco hotel. The bar was friendly and its food fantastic. I would never have believed I would love a kohlrabi Caesar salad.

Apart from the first floor, the building seems old. Rooms are small, the fitness center is very, very small, as is the community lobby area. Poor value for the money. We won't be staying here again.

The Hotel Monaco in downtown Salt Lake City continues to provide an outstanding experience. The service is top-notch; the amenities are classic and beautiful; and the location is perfectly situated within walking distance of countless shopping, entertainment, and dining options. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

I'm surprised to see this hotel is rated as a 4.3 (as of May 2025) because I thought it was much better than that. This was my first Kimpton and I think I'm converted for life. It's like a pre-pandemic hotel; daily room service, multiple night staff, incredibly friendly staff, and amazing amenities. My husband forgot contact solution, no problem they had some behind the front desk. We asked for late check-out an hour before regular check-out, no problem you can stay late. Want a nice cocktail, no problem there is an awesome bar/restaurant, that also provides room service while open. We booked through a 3rd party, so we didn't get one of the larger rooms. There was a small fridge, but no microwave (we didn't need one, but flagging since I know some folks like that). Full size shampoo/conditioner/soap. Our room was on the smaller size, but our friends stayed at the Hyatt down the street and said the same thing, so I think it's more about the hotel being downtown and again we booked 3rd party so we opted for the lowest end room. Hotel is in the middle of downtown and right off the green line for easy access to things around the city, but there are also a number of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops around the hotel. When we did need to uber somewhere, it didn't cost more than $10.
