Hotel Goldgasse

Ulrike, the caretaker - is so friendly and helpful that this small yet warm and cozy historic hotel becomes such an authentic ‘Austrian’ experience in a very good way. My wife and I were there for the Christmas markets which were literally a one-minute walk from the hotel. Ulrike is always close by and ensures that all guests are pleased at all times. Breakfast is lovely and we also tried their Michelin-rated restaurant one night which we found to be quite good and not very expensive. The hotel is centrally located in the Old Town of Salzburg and ideal for visiting all the main sites. We also went on ‘The Original Sound of Music’ Tour which we really enjoyed and was a 15 minute walk away from the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel - we will stay here again when we return.

A very warm welcome at this centrally located but peaceful hotel. Everything we needed, plus a hearty breakfast in the morning (note not a buffet but a delightful selection of pastries, breads, cheeses, hams, yogurts and fruit etc.). Staff were helpful and we felt at home, thank you!

We had a nice stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Great location as everything was within walking distance. But what made this place special was the hostess Ulrike, she’s knowledgeable, friendly, and fun!

The hotel is well located and the food is excellent. All staff are polite and helpful mainly manager is very attentive to her guests and extremely kind. Thank you all for this excellent experience

This is a lovely boutique hotel in Salzburg's Old Town. The rooms are modern, the beds comfortable, the décor artistic, and the toiletries high-end. The main hotelier at reception was so welcoming, and she was lovely and helpful with recommendations. Location-wise, the hotel is on a quiet street. It is steps to the Fortress, market plazas, shopping streets in Altstadt (old town). It is also within walking distance from the attractions in Neustadt (the less old "new" town). No hesitation in recommending this establishment.
