we were informed that this hotel required the use of its valet service and that no other parking options would be available. That’s $40 a night. We booked requesting two rooms with two queen size beds in each room. On arrival they told us that they only had rooms with a single king bed. we were planning for five adults who were not in intimate relationships with each other. When I arrive dense inspected the rooms with the marble countertops looked filthy. I asked Housekeeping to come and check. They said that someone had used a particular chemical on the surfaces that ruined the marble. When I checked the bedding there was a reddish stain on the blanket that was between two sheets. Walking, barefoot on the carpet, made our feet black. The shower was a good size, but the tiles were broken. The pool area had a concession and didn’t allow any outside food or drinks. There are plenty of very nice places to eat within walking distance. The site is pretty, but they could do a lot better with their amenities. We stayed for a week as that was our plan, but would not return.

Disappointed in the tiny room (named junior King suite) and extra fees for valet and “resort fee”. No parking so you have to use valet at $40 per day plus tips. Screaming children outside our door even though hotel was not even 1/2 full. Hotel is nice, but not exceptional as advertised.

1st Time using our RCI points. We used them for a stay-cation, since we're from the area. Overall the place was very nice. The bodywash dispenser was empty and there was still trash under the bathroom sink, other than that the rest of the room was clean. The pool was clean and not busy during the times we went, lots of tables/chairs on a first come first serve basis. Several cabanas that are able to be reserved. Kiddie pool and hot tub were operating while we were there. Only one pool bar attendant for the time we were there. Downside was that parking is by valet only.

My husband and I visited this hotel through the Resort Pass app. Paid $40 per person for an overpriced neighborhood pool. Plastic drink cups left out all over from the night before. Flip flops, water toys and old fruit could be seen all around, next to chairs and around the deck. One towel per person. Drinks were weak IF you could find a server to get a drink made. No poolside service. The pool and deck need lots of updating. Hot tub and kiddy play areas were not operable. Not really the service I was expecting from such a well know, high end hotel and facility.

The Eilan Resort is a beautiful Mediterranean styled resort with grand staircases, columns, marble etc. The outdoor pool area is inviting and enjoyable. The location is less than desirable if you want to tour San Antonio. Ridesharing gets to be expensive to go down town or even out to eat. Economical choices are not available within walking distance of the resort. Resort personnel are friendly and helpful. However, expect to be asked several times to participate in a two hour timeshare presentation.

One of the best resorts we've stayed at. The King Suite was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the food in Sustenio and the customer service was unparalleled. Great stay from check-in to check-out!
