I chose this "exclusive" resort as the first night of my 20th Anniversary only to be run out of our room for hours by this intolerable racket. There are zero hotel room activities - sleep, TV watching, sex, etc. - that can be enjoyed under those circumstances. We were on our 20th, the other couple we met was on their 1st. They'd paid a sitter for the weekend to watch their newborn and this was what they got. Paying customers were standing in the halls outside thier rooms asking each other if anyone knew what was going on. When I first called the front desk, the young lady lied to me and told me that it was the adjacent condos that were being worked on and they couldn't do anything about it. When I called back and asked to speak the a manager, the assistant manager told me that they were jackhammering in a 4th Floor room and that it would be going on from 6 - 9 pm. Oh... she was kind enough to waive the $25 resort fee. Whooptie-fu*in-do! (Not like you could've enjoyed the span anyway.) I will never stay at this hotel again, and I will tell everyone who ever mentions Eilan to me to do the same. I continue to be flabbergasted that this happened.

We stayed here using our vacation club BlueGreen points. The resort itself is very nice. We rented a car, and it was needed to access all touristy bits of SA. Really needed a car to get anywhere off the resort. That ( and the HARD sell from the BG reps) were the only real drawbacks. Basic large hotel rooms, not the small condos we usually get with BG. Small fridge, small microwave. Comfy King bed. We had breakfast one morning in the onsite restaurant, was very good. On site coffee shop was standard fare. This was a brief family vacation to see the Spurs game. If we return to SA in the future, will likely stay closer to the city. But otherwise , nice resort.

Not the best option for a girls trip. Cons: The rooms are small. The bar by the pool closes at 7pm. The drinks are watered down and pricey. There is a $39 valet parking mandatory fee and a $25 plus tax resort fee to use the tennis/basketball courts, which we had no use for. If you stay through RCI for less than 7 days, except additional fee of $90. Check out is at 10am and don’t expect to check in before 4. The pool was dirty. The resort does not spray for mosquitoes. Pros: Location is good. The fitness center is large. The indoor poor is large but there is no bar at the indoor pool. . Staff is friendly. Overall-would not stay again. There are lots of nicer and more spacious hotels and suites in San Antonio for less than the final cost of the Eilan. For their prices, they could have offered some “complementary” snacks, drinks, shuttle, or even a free breakfast.

Very nice and beautiful hotel, I wouldn’t quite call it luxury. I experienced extreme sale tactics and lying to get me to go to an owner review where I persistently said no and still was cornered by 3 men waiting for me to make a decision on the spot. To top it off, I wasn’t given a late check out as I am promised by my premier ownership. Just another trip making me want out of my timeshare.

Booked this using my RCI points. 10,400 points at other resorts have gotten me very nice condo style rooms including kitchens. This is what I was expecting, but upon check-in was told it was valet only at $40 a day, plus additional added resort fees that were not shown on my booking. Get to the room and it is a matchbox size room that we can barely turn around in. The counters were dirty and when we went to the desk to tell them the lady argued with me that it was "stains". I told her there were stains, but there is a difference between stains and dirty. She then handed me two Clorox wipes! I also told her we had no tissues in the tissue box and asked her to give me some and she informed me someone would bring them up to the room. The tissues arrived almost 2 hours later! I've attached pictures of the "stains" I was able to wipe off. The shower head is so caked with crud that hardly any water comes out of it and the exhaust fan in the bathroom does not work. We set through a timeshare presentation because it would "cover our parking". Only to find out that was not the case. The people at the presentation were great and ended up giving us the max they could, which was a $200 resort credit. We went to apply it and were told it could not be used to cover the resort fees and was only good at the restaurant and spa. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was not good. My $20 Peaches and Cream French toast was cold when it arrived, was made of canned whipped cream and canned peaches. We did not get refills on our tea or coffee either, which by the way cost $5 each. Another complaint is when we got our car back the first day all settings were changed in it. The seat was laid way back, the steering wheel was adjusted, the arch support adjusted, the mirrors adjusted, the radio adjusted, the dash display adjusted, and AC settings adjusted. We also could tell someone had messed with some of our belongings in the vehicle. When we told the concierge in charge of valet, he made a note on our account to leave settings alone! After that we decided to park our vehicle down the hill where there was free parking and walk to and from the hotel. This "resort" is nothing more than a hotel with marble slapped on it to make it look nice. Everything costs additional prices to use and even though there is a $30 a day resort access fee. When asked what that covers I was informed it covered the Wifi, access to the pool, access to the gym, and access to boardgames. Oh and 10% discount at the restaurant and spa which are way over priced. $110 for a 30 minute massage! Besides the 10% discounts (ha) these are all ammenities that a regular Holiday Inn Express would have for free, for a cheaper night stay, and for just as nice of a room! We have spoken to many people in charge of this hotel and they have never once offered to move us rooms or offer us any discounts etc.

One of the best resorts we've stayed at. The King Suite was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the food in Sustenio and the customer service was unparalleled. Great stay from check-in to check-out!
