Hotel Contessa

This hotel has positives, it's in a great location on the river walk and the rooms are large, lounge and bedroom so a great size. The breakfast was good and a nice lounge area for drinks. Now for why our stay was ruined! We utilised the valet parking. On our return on our 2nd evening we handed the keys over to the valet and made our way into the hotel, we stopped at the sound of a large bang and turned to see a pickup had reversed straight into the side of our car. Now obviously this was an accident, but what ruined our stay was the total lack of assistance or empathy from any of the staff. We know there was cctv on the driveway but the woman on reception was totally uninterested and just said it was a valet issue and her manager wasn't in. No one helped at all. It totally spoiled our stay here and I would not stay again, texan hospitality totally missing from this establishment!!

We stayed at the Hotel Contessa for two nights and our stay was nothing short of wonderful. The hotel is kept very clean, decorated beautifully, and in a prime location right on the river walk. The bar and bar staff were amazing, especially Mark. Mark was friendly, talkative, and gave wonderful recommendations for local restaurants. We will be back!

My stay at Hotel Contessa in San Antonio was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The location right on the River Walk can’t be beat — you’re steps away from great dining, entertainment, and that beautiful, peaceful stretch of the river. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit special, especially Fast Eddie!!! who was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Overall, Hotel Contessa delivers the perfect mix of luxury, comfort, and local flavor.

Beautiful hotel, outstanding service staff. Rooms are large and well appointed. The Ambler has excellent food and service. It sits right on the river walk, in a quite section. You can walk in either direction and find all the fun and excitement, then return to your quite hotel. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Contessa. The spa was great! Crystal gave me a fabulous facial! Jessi gave my daughter a wonderful massage! The food, cocktails and service in the bar area were great.
