Excellent Customer Service
Fantastic service and customer service, particularly Fast Eddy-bellhop, Thurston-Concierge, AJ-bellhop. Excellent service. Hotel has large suites and beautiful riverwalk setting. I would go back.

Supreme experience! Family of 4 with two children, 8 and 4. Location was A+, sandwiched perfectly between downtown and the riverwalk. The atmosphere was breathtaking, attention to detail incredible, and service was outstanding. Fast Eddie the amazing bellhop assisted us with our belongings, tailored recommendations, and ensured my birthday was recognized at check-in. Thurston was pleasant and offered us a complementary margarita with a smile. Abbas at the front desk was professional and assisted us with our room upgrade and had a bottle of birthday wine sent to our suite, chilled, with 2 glasses. The bar and restaurant were very lovely, the food was delicious at Ambler and we had the best server Tera, we even requested him the second time around. All staff was helpful and hotel was very clean. Valet service was quick. We will be back 100%.

Amazing Experience
Loved the Hotel! The only place I will stay when I go to the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Staff is AMAZING! Everyone acknowledged us. We were made to feel special. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone

Three stars
Because this is an all suite hotel the bedrooms are thankfully quiet and the location is good. When I checked in the room seemed cool. I went out to do some sight seeing and returned to a freezing room although I noticed that someone before me had set the temperature to 85 F. Fortunately maintenance was able to come and after about 20 minutes of working behind the panel was able to correct the problem. He said that the room was actually at 60 degrees when he first arrived. He was very nice. Strangely virtually all other personnel encountered gave perfunctory service at best. On checkout I asked for an email receipt which never came necessitating phone calls to billing once I retuned home. An unhappy surprise was the credit card fee tacked onto the bill. Had I been informed I would have written a check but the fee was never mentioned. This was my third trip to San Antonio and my least favorite hotel of the three.

Christmas lights on the riverwalk
Beautiful hotel on the riverwalk. Location was perfect as was the service and our suite with a riverview. I would definitely recommend Hotel Contessa for a business or personal stay in San Antonio.
