⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable Proposal Weekend at Hotel Contessa I had the most amazing weekend at Hotel Contessa, and it turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. From the moment we arrived, everything was top-tier. The valet team was incredible—especially JT, who went above and beyond to help make my proposal possible. I had my engagement rings hidden in the glove compartment, and after explaining my plan, JT helped me by taking them up and placing them safely in the room. That level of trust and care meant everything. We also booked a spa experience, and it was absolutely perfect. The ladies at the spa made everything smooth, relaxing, and special for both my fiancée and me. It really set the tone for the rest of the day. Before heading up to the room, I had coordinated a surprise. A special shoutout to Jam at the front desk—she truly went above and beyond. I had DoorDashed rose petals to the hotel, and she personally went into the room ahead of our arrival and decorated everything beautifully. It was beyond what I imagined. She didn’t stop there—she also took the rings and delivered them to the restaurant downstairs at Ambler Texas Kitchen + Cocktails, where we had dinner reservations. She even helped decorate our table with petals, setting the stage for the big moment. At the restaurant, the service was just as amazing. When the time came, they brought out the rings, and one of the staff members even recorded a video of my proposal by the River Walk. That moment is something I will never forget. The entire staff at Hotel Contessa truly made this experience magical. Every single detail was handled with care, and they made something very personal feel effortless and perfect. This will definitely be a place we come back to—especially to celebrate anniversaries in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking to create a special, unforgettable experience.

Perfect location….on a beautiful stretch of the Riverwalk but slightly away from the busy restaurants. Great front pickup and drop off location. Within walking distance of the Alamo. Very helpful staff. Great price point.

Terrible tech. Dated tv platform, cumbersome and never did work. Just trying to sell movies. One remote for 2 tv's. One small lamp in the bedroom . . Nothing bedside. Dark! Never was successful signing onto wifi. Dated as well!

I frequently come to hotel contessa for their amazing events and food. The Ambler’s food is to die for, and we are usually attended by Francisco who is always very friendly and helpful. We especially love coming for their amazing art fairs because they have wonderful live music, beautiful art and gorgeous scenery (right by wedding island on the riverwalk!). Overall I highly recommend a stay at the Contessa, and if you’re unsure just visit one of the art fairs 😁

Francisco was a great server at the Ambler.
