About the Hotel

Hotel Emma is a boutique luxury hotel set in the old San Antonio landmark building built in 1894, originally known as home to Pearl’s Brewhouse. Meticulously refurbished to maintain the charm, history, and mystique of the 19th century brewhouse, the now luxurious hotel, a part of the Legend collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is an elegant retreat for all visitors. Quaint guest rooms merge together the industrial grit of the former brewery, the aesthetic of southern Texas warmth, and the elegance of a luxury boutique hotel. Excellent place to stay in San Antonio

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This place is such a gem to stay at in San Antonio. Located in the Pearl district, surrounded by beauty, art, food and entertainment vibes. Hotel Emma is a beautiful hotel with so much history and charm. Classy but not arrogant. Its a wonderful place to be. I cant wait to return.

Delicious Lunch and Outstanding Service at Supper

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We had such a great experience at Supper at the Pearl! Our waitress, Mercedes, was amazing and took great care of us. After our lunch, she brought out the most delicious lattes that were the perfect finish to our meal. I ordered the wagyu burger and it was incredible, and the brussels sprouts were also so good! It was a beautiful day and we initially wanted to sit outside, but it was a little too breezy, so the team kindly accommodated us inside where it was cozy and comfortable. Overall, everything was delicious and the service made it even better. We’ll definitely be back!

Visit the Hotel but Don't Pay to Stay Overnight

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Hotel Emma is beautiful and really cool; however, the great parts of Hotel Emma are open to the public. Justifying $600-$700/per night for a basic room is tough, and it felt like the guest only experiences failed to deliver. Also, right out of the gate, parking is not included which felt a little shocking at that price point. The Pearl as a whole, the riverwalk, the super cool hotel lobby, and yummy restaurants are all open to the public without such a steep fee. Otherwise, the room was a fairly standard hotel room, the gym was average, and the pool area faced pretty noisy construction. I would totally recommend visiting the Hotel to enjoy all the ground-level experiences and then staying at a different hotel or airbnb and using the difference in cost to enjoy more experiences in the Pearl area! A final note- the staff were awesome and very warm and friendly!

Anniversary Bliss

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Been wanting to visit Emma for several years, 2025 was that year! Enjoyed a few days awed by the hospitality of every single team member at the Emma. The property and grounds were beautiful and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our annual anniversary excursion to this remarkable hotel. We won’t wait so long for our return visit!
