Great pool area. They did a good job with the new lagoon although it could use larger swimming spaces. The moat/pool is always great and the kids love the smores they did in the evenings. I recommend the cabanas for space and service. The property itself overall was in great shape and the people who were there providing services were super nice. That said, check-in was running behind schedule, room services were running slow very late into the day, at one point there was zero supervision on the slide tower full of kids when I went up it with one of my kids. Overall it would have been great, but broadly staffing seemed short and that forces me to leave an average rating as I consider services to be a large portion of the expectation for a resort like this one.

An oasis in the middle of San Antonio complete with everything you need for children and adults and even your fur baby is welcome. The on-ground activities are especially wonderful for the young ones and the grounds are beautiful. So many activities for everyone! Rooms are clean and quiet and food choices are plentiful. Customer service was amazing. Can't wait to go back!

We selected this resort for family vacation with children ranging in age from 9 to 21. We have traveled to many different resorts and have a large base of experience. This particular resort it mediocre and certainly not a good value. It is a water-based resort with a lazy river, one slide, and a flowrider. They have an adult only pool and hot tub. During the weekend it got quite full and it’s hard to find a lounger and people were hoarding the floats. The water was moderately dirty and smelled a little funky. There are few staff around to help, no lifeguards. The slide is fun for a few times, but not enough for the extended period of time. The flow Rider is nice but relatively expensive for small groups to use. the hotel is older and could use some maintenance attention. We had broken door handles, showerhead that didn’t work, toilets that flushed crazy. The rooms are good size and the in room safe is nice. Wish the bathrooms had vent fans so it doesn’t get steamy. The little balconies are nice, but our balcony door didn't work properly. There are only two elevators which get overloaded very quickly. the charges are crazy for what you get. A breakfast sandwich is $18. Parking is 25 a night to self park, and 40 a night if you care to wait 20 minutes for a valet to find your car. they charge a large amount per night per room, but they have a gotcha with their taxes and fees of 30% extra. When you look at the email they show you the price per night in dollars, but in the very bottom in small print shows the extra taxes and fees in digits- no percentages and no dollar amounts so you can miss it. That’s probably why they do it. Service across the resort is generally friendly, but very very slow. They don’t have enough people at any of the locations and it takes 20 minutes just to get a bill. The resort is not enough to stay there all day, so you head out to local attractions and activities. There’s almost nothing going on in the evening as this caters mostly to families with young children. Any activity is mobbed by small children, which makes it unpleasant for anybody over the age of eight. There were no adult only activities or anything specific for the teenagers and young adult adults. my whole view of Hyatt has significantly changed because of this experience. I relied a lot on glowing reviews I read, unfortunately the resort did not live up to it; not even close

This is a great hotel for families with small kids. It hits all the marks. Not so much for a business conference. I booked a room on the "retreat" floor which promised an elevated experience like snacks, quiet rooms and turn down. It only met one of the promises - turn down. The snacks are a complete joke and the hotel's advertising on this is misleading. The snacks consist of a glass jar of nuts at the entrance along with a small selection of apples and other fruit. The chrome cast for the TV in my room did not work the first night and it took an engineer over an hour to fix it. The floor is not quiet. Kids were running up and down the halls at all hours. As for the room, I think it's identical to the other rooms in the hotel. Bed is comfortable and the bathroom is nice, but the decor was a bit rustic and not elevated in the least. Turn down was nice but housekeeping was haphazard. They failed to empty the trash and didn't arrive one day until almost 4 which is unacceptable. Antlers Lodge has great food and service. but the ambiance suffers because of crying babies and the lack of any dress code. Hats should never be allowed at dinner. Staff were friendly and the condition of the hotel is good.

We had a great vacation at the Hyatt. Service was great as always. Although the lagoon is an option, we still enjoyed the lazy river with all the shade. On the way home though we notified them two tablets were left (we know in safe, however they cannot find) and charges to the spa which we never even visited, so came home a little frustrated.
