Was here on business, very nice venue with tons of attractions for families... very much regret not convincing my wife to take our two kids for the few days I was at the Hyatt. The Big Spring in particular looked like a great attraction!

Loved the new Lagoon! Even when it gets busy, it still feels like people can spread out. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for our 5-year anniversary with our two little girls, and from the moment we drove in, the resort already looked beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. We were greeted with smiles right away, and the staff even helped bring our bags up to our room, which made us feel so welcomed. We spent most of our 4-day stay enjoying the lazy river, pools, and lagoon. Our girls especially loved the lazy river and pools the most. The lagoon was really nice too, although it wasn’t quite as shaded as the pool and lazy river areas. One of the sweetest surprises happened on our second day when the staff brought balloons, an anniversary card, and two drink tokens to our room to celebrate our 5-year anniversary. That thoughtful gesture made our trip feel extra special. We also loved all the activities they had throughout the day for families and kids. The girls had so much fun with soccer, volleyball, pickleball, and t-ball on the lawn after breakfast. Every night they had s’mores, and on Friday night they showed a movie on the lawn with popcorn and blankets. Watching a movie under the stars ended up being the highlight of the trip for our girls. Springhouse Cafe was another favorite during our stay. Everything we ordered was delicious — honestly, there wasn’t a single bad meal. Our server, Trudi, was absolutely amazing. We requested her the entire trip because she was so kind and wonderful with our girls. Overall, our stay was relaxing, family-friendly, and so memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back, and next time we hope to bring more family with us too!

We have stayed at Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort every Mother’s Day weekend for the last 5 years, and unfortunately this most recent stay completely changed our opinion of the property. The biggest issue was the billing transparency — or lack thereof. We booked two rooms through Priceline after having issues accessing our Hyatt account, and nowhere in the Priceline booking confirmation or receipt was there any clear disclosure that additional mandatory resort fees would be charged separately at the hotel. When we checked out, we were shocked to find additional resort fees added on top of the nearly $1,600 already paid for the rooms. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the folio provided by Hyatt showed credits that did not even remotely reflect what we had actually paid Priceline. Hyatt later explained that Priceline only paid the hotel a portion of what we paid them, but as the customer, that is not something we should have to untangle after checkout. On top of that: Multiple authorization holds remained on different cards Front desk staff could not clearly explain the billing Calls for assistance went unanswered We had issues with the bike rental system resulting in multiple charges The Saturday night buffet was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had at a resort, especially considering the price What is disappointing is that this could have been resolved with transparency and customer care. Instead, the response was essentially “that’s how third-party bookings work” along with an offer of Hyatt points rather than addressing the actual concern. For a resort that markets itself as a premium family destination, the experience felt disorganized, misleading, and incredibly frustrating. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after being repeat guests for years, I think future travelers deserve to understand exactly what they may encounter regarding billing and fees. I do appreciate that management responded via email, but ultimately the issue itself was never resolved.
