Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa

I have been coming to this resort since I was a child and I love that I get to bring my daughter here! It's a great spot for families with children of all ages.

This resort never lets you down, stay 4 days and left the property only once when it was raining. The resort took care of everything.

Website description is misleading: "Hill Country Pantry with light energizing snacks" = fruit in the morning / early afternoon, but not refilled so the bowls may be empty plus two types of trail mix. "Signature cocktail at Woodbine Bar (per adult 21+, per stay)" - still get charged ~$16 for two normal cocktails (normal price is $18) "Nightly turndown with thoughtful touches" = a pile of fresh towels will be haphazardly placed on the counter Big Spring Lagoon - Large pool with limited swimming areas. "5-Acre Water Park" - 1 waterslide, 1 lazy river, 1 children's pool, 1 small activity pool and a hot tub, plus you can make reservations at the flowrider for 30 minutes at an additional charge.

My family and I are local to San Antonio, and for the past four years we've made the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Villas our favorite place for family staycations and even spontaneous day visits when we just need to relax and decompress. This most recent visit was, without question, our best experience yet. The new management team has truly impressed us. The level of customer service we received went far above and beyond anything we expected. I especially want to recognize Jacob, Front Office Manager, and Sophia, Recreation Manager. They were professional, attentive, genuinely kind, and made us feel like valued guests from beginning to end. What stood out most was that they didn't just solve problems—they took the time to personally connect with us and ensure our family had an exceptional experience. We travel frequently and stay at many hotels, and I can honestly say I've never had the level of direct communication and genuine care from management that we experienced here. It speaks volumes about the leadership and culture they are creating at this resort. I could honestly write a book about the outstanding customer service we received. Jacob and Sophia set the standard for hospitality, and I only wish more hotel and recreation managers across the industry would learn from leaders like them. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. Because of your team, we'll continue making the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Villas our family's favorite staycation destination for years to come.
