Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa

Excellent accommodations and food. Loved the natural setting including a Tucan nest right outside our second floor balcony. Got to see two fledglings leave the nest. The private pools and cabanas along the thermal river were fabulous.

This resort was fabulous! The setting and the hot springs were gorgeous. The food and service were terrific. We can't wait to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tabacon Thermal Resort and Spa and would recommend it to everyone. The hotel was located about a 12-15 min car ride to La Fortuna town which made it convenient to go out daily to eat local food. The hotel was also a close car ride to many of the activities we wanted to do. I would say the farthest ride was 25-30 min- however, traffic does play a big role as well. The room was beautiful and immaculate. They cleaned the room in the morning and would also provide a wind-down service by request as well. Naturally, some bugs do get in the room though due to being surrounded by nature. It was never anything to take away from our experience. We never had any issues with loud noises near our room or around the property. The hotel also offers full sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion which was convenient. They also had tooth, shaving, and sowing kits + shower caps and things like that. The atmosphere of the whole property felt like glamping in the middle of the rainforest. We had a beautiful view of the Arenal volcano from our window. The whole property is surrounded by plants and wildlife and you can see that the staff take such pride not only in regards to the hotel, but in their land, their country and the wildlife/plants they share the earth with. The staff was always very helpful, super kind, and very professional. They did a great job of making you feel like a very important guest throughout your trip. They were always very prompt whenever we made a request and definitely made you feel at home. Overall, I felt that the whole experience was worth what we paid. We had access to the hot springs from 8am-10pm, the place was beautiful and immaculate, staff was great, and the location was convenient. I would definitely return here in the future and would recommend it 1000 times!

The service is top notch. Knew me by name from first meeting. Grounds are lush, clean, and quiet. Lots of birds and many Coati were spotted on site.

I should begin with the staff in all aspects. Courteous, customer service friendly, attentive and thoughtful. Staff throughout my stay at Tabacon had all these traits especially but not limited to the greeters at the restaurants (always inviting). The resort itself was easily one of the best maintained and visually stunning facilities I've ever had the privilege of visiting. From the lush and manicured vegetation to the hot springs, the decor and of course the wildlife, all created an unforgettable and authentic, magical experience. If anyone has the means and doesn't want to cut corners, Tabacon is the total experience you are looking for.
