Paradise
What a fantastic day! Amazing place. Too many wonderful experiences to even recount. This place is paradise! They provide water, towels, shampoo & conditioner. Bring flip flops and bug spray. You will never regret coming here. Great food as well!

Elevated Authenticity by Arenal
I’ve wanted to stay at Tabacon for years, and the actual experience did not disappoint. From the gorgeous landscaping to the elegant, comfortable rooms, to the fantastic Tukanes restaurant, the hotel area was absolutely spectacular. Just down the road at the springs and spa I had one of the best massages in an open air room, surrounded by nature and the sound of rushing water. The springs themselves are a perfect temp for after a day of hiking or waterfall rappelling. And the drinks and snacks from the water-side bar mean you can enjoy yourself for hours! Besides the beautiful facilities, this resort is blessed with an amazing staff. They are so incredibly friendly, positive, patient and kind - it really feels like, as one of our waitresses said to me, they do their jobs out of the pleasure of helping people. While there are more elaborate and larger resorts in the area, Tabacon feels to me just as luxurious while being more authentic to the culture. As an example, while the nearby Springs is indeed beautiful and expansive it’s always felt like I’m staying at Disney: Costa Rica with its sculpted, thematic rooms. By comparison, Tabacon relies on the abundant natural beauty of the area to create a serene and beautiful retreat that feels like an elevated experience that you could only have in beautiful Costa Rica. I have only two TINY notes - the eggs at breakfast are drier that US folks are used to (otherwise it’s an amazing buffet), and the lockers and bathrooms at the springs could use a little updating. Still, a wholehearted recommendation!
