Romantic luxury - Tabacon does not disappoint

I went to Tabacon with my husband for our 25th Anniversary. This was my 3rd time at Tabacon and it does not disappoint. A special thank you to Oscar who went out of his way to make our trip so special!

Loved the resort and would highly recommend it.

We loved our visit to Tabacon. We enjoyed the hot springs and variety of the pools. The swim up bar was fun. We loved the hot springs for hotel guests only. It was quiet and felt private. The service was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the service to the cabanas. I would definitely recommend the experience. We loved the full breakfast each day as well.

Nothing like Nayara

It's the Wisconsin Dell's of Costa Rica! I don't like the fact that people can buy a day pass. Also, the rooms are horrible and musty smelling. The Springs are "5" star worthy! The Tabacon River flows around the resort. There are so many waterfalls. The water is warm. It's something you don't want to miss. While it was nice, there so many people trying to get in your way to sit in your spot. Some people were rude. Some guest let there children run around like crazy. You must get there early to get a spot to relax in. The price was steep and the room itself was from the 90's.

Beautiful hotel in amazing setting.

Beautiful, modern hotel. Thermal pools were amazing. The room was large and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious. Somehow the front desk did not realize our 2 groups of 3 were traveling together so we were assigned different buildings. We got help with our luggage when we got there, but there was no offer of help getting our luggage back to the lobby. It also would have been ice if we were offered rides to and from our room as they were a ways from the lobby. Because it gets dark so early, more lighting on the paths would be helpful. Also more lighting was necessary in the thermal bath are. Because we were busy every day on tours we could not go to the area until it was dark. So it was very hard to determine we could even go to swim. There is some pools with no one in them, but they look like maybe there were some place we could go in and we couldn’t tell. The staff in the first building as you got to the spa area did not really communicate with us or give us information about what we’re supposed to do once we got there. And again, like I said was so dark we couldn’t tell what we were supposed to do.
