Nestled at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, in the northern region of Costa Rica, Tabacón is a natural oasis featuring twelve thermal spring pools and lagoons, cascading waterfalls, exotic gardens and serene hiking trails. Harnessing the healing and rejuvenating properties of the thermal pools, along with signature treatments and therapies, guests of the resort will find complete bliss among the vines and canopies of the rain forest.

It is such a great hotel , the staff is very kind and attentive ; the breakfast menu is so good and Francisco the chef is always trying to please you. With your stay you can go to the Spa where they have many hot springs that you can enjoy until late after your morning tours.

We decided to stay here for only two nights, but the stay was packed with everything we needed to truly relax and get into vacation mode. We stayed in Room 101. The room had plenty of space for a short stay, and the only thing that really bothered my wife was the road noise since the room is very close to the main highway. The tap drinking water actually tasted great, and we experienced no digestive issues during our stay. The staff was amazing and quickly handled every request we had. Room service was impressively fast, though my only wish is that they used a bit more seasoning in their food preparation. Breakfast was included, and the omelets were absolutely worth the short wait, especially with the beautiful views of the pool and rainforest. The main reason for visiting this resort was the hot springs — and they absolutely exceeded expectations. This is easily one of the best hot springs experiences you can probably have anywhere in the world. Even though the pools are man-made, they feel incredibly organic and natural. The spa is attached directly to the hot springs, giving you quick and easy access to massages just a few steps away, along with a restaurant and yoga studio nearby. I would recommend staying here at least once in your life — it truly is a bucket-list experience.

Have the hot springs, spa and a restaurant made this the highlight of our trip. Mac at the restaurant was fantastic. Top notch service and he would check on us routinely. We enjoyed seeing him the nights we ate there.
