Our experience was great! The front desk staff was very helpful and happy to help! The rooftop staff was not as attentive and they were not busy when we visited on a Saturday morning. We were one of three parties there at the time. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are a light sleeper since you can hear the music from the bars. They provide earplugs. Luckily we didn't have to use them since we didn't mind a little noise. Overall, we had a great time.

Very noisy location. Room not as clean as one would expect from a Hyatt. And it is in a very noisy part of the area. Staff made excuses and told me “it is what it is”! For the price, I would have expected better.

Do not stay here. It’s $500 a night for a filthy and outdated property. Chairs and sofas are stained and service is sub par.

The room was clean, but small. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is nice and the terrace bar has good food and a nice bar, although expensive. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to everything in Gaslamp and the convention center. The elevators were nice, but one of them had a strong smell of urine (maybe pets?). The hotel is located next to a small homeless congregation area. The City needs to do something about the homeless, as they are taking over the City. Parking is very expensive ($69/per night) not included in the cost.

I have stayed at a lot of different Hyatt's before and this is one of my favorites. It almost feels like a boutique hotel. I loved how they were very accommodating to my needs.
