Andaz San Diego

Valet parking way too expensive. Had to wait a little bit for them to bring car back, $65 a night too much on top of the room costs…even as a World of Hyatt member.

I wanted something close to the zoo and the fleet science museum. Andaz seemed like a good hotel on paper but the room we got had 1 king bed and a pull out bed (sofa) that was probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. My back could literally feel every single spring in that thing. I woke up both mornings with a terrible back ache. The room is also very outdated and the carpets/pillows are filthy. The only good thing about this hotel I would say is the location but I'm sure there are nicer hotel options in downtown area.

The mattress was one of my favorites in terms of comfort at a hotel. Definitely would buy the mattress for myself. Location was not my favorite. For a higher rating Hyatt, the location doesn't match up particularly well. My initial experience with the valet was a tad off but the valet staff who helped me with the rest of my trip was great.

Great hotel - friendly staff, good food, wonderfully clean rooms. A bit noisy on a Saturday night outside in the gaslamp, but with closing the windows you don't hear anything. The breakfasts were great, the staff in the restaurant in the morning were friendly and helpful. There is no parking but the valet team is efficient.

Lovely hotel but definitely not geared for holidays. Pool , restaurant and bar closed to hotel guests on three days due to private functions. Staff very helpful and supportive throughout.Its a shame as the pool area and restaurant and bar looked lovely and well kept
