Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego

This was an excellent experience! They renovated their rooms and they look really nice! No carpet in the rooms- great for people who have allergies! Customer service was amazing; the location is outstanding! Definitely will stay again!

Long lines at check at seemingly all hours of the day; water hammer in sink (and in the rooms next to us or above us) - poorly insulated water pipes; terrible toilet paper - bring your own; only one restaurant available (despite claims of 5 restaurants), which was outside the hotel and required a walk in heat & humidity to/from the restaurant which was not air conditioned. Big hotel and thus very crowded

I’ve stayed at this hotel a handful of times and have always enjoyed my stays, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning after this visit. The hotel is currently undergoing construction throughout the property, which made the stay much less enjoyable. I specifically booked this hotel because of the rooftop adult pool, but due to renovations on the family pool, everyone is currently sharing the same pool. It was extremely crowded and chaotic, and there was no longer a quiet, adults-only option. When checking in, no one informed us that the rooftop pool would be shared by both adults and children. I even suggested to one of the pool staff members that they consider having designated adult-only hours so guests who are looking for some peace and quiet can still enjoy the pool. On top of that, the pool kitchen was experiencing grill issues, so food took a very long time to come out. That being said, the rooms have been nicely updated, and you really can’t beat the hotel’s location. Room service was also quite slow during my stay. Overall, I’ve always had a great experience here in the past, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. I would recommend checking whether the renovations and pool situation have been resolved before booking.

Had a wonderful stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego this summer for a work conference. View was beautiful of the bay. Highly recommend this hotel to stay for conference or vacation. It is walking distance from the best restaurants.

Amazing hotel and central to everything Housekeeping and front desk were great Close to the beach and coffee shop outside the hotel. We were there to see stadium #22 of our baseball stadium chase.
