Pacific Terrace Hotel

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We chose a non ocean view room as knew we wouldn’t be in our room much. Unfortunately the room we were placed in was 1st floor and right by a noisy air con unit. We were quite disappointed as it was so loud, we couldn’t sit on the balcony and when the air con in the room quietened down it was very loud and intrusive and we wouldn’t have been able to sleep. We spoke to Lauren in reception and she organised a room move for us, which was really appreciated. One of the rooms we moved to was an ocean view room and it had a beautiful view and balcony. The rooms were kept clean and tidy and had lovely touches like the animal towels and the fan towels in the bathroom, along with huge TVs, bottled water every day and turn down service. The complimentary toiletries were also lovely. There were also daily newspapers available and free cookies at 4pm. We spent some time at the beach and the hotel provided beach chairs, bougie boards etc. The beach is right outside the hotel. We also used the pool one day and the loungers were comfy and the pool a good temperature. As this is a resort there were quite a few families with younger children and the pool area small. So not suitable if you’re looking for a child free break. The hotel is an old building and does need some updating. The enamel in the baths is worn, sink was cracked and the sliding doors difficult to open. What makes this hotel is its staff. Every member of staff was friendly and genuinely wants to help you have a great holiday. Lauren sorted out zoo tickets for us and another lady helped us figure out how to get downtown. From reception to concierge they all greet you every day with a smile and asked how our day was. They really give 5* service. We stayed in a few hotels during our trip and they were by far the best staff we came across. We would recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a beach location and somewhere that cares for the little details.

I had another wonderful stay at Pacific Terrace. This hotel is uniquely amazing. The property and views are beautiful. The sound of the ocean waves breaking is soothing and relaxing. Rooms and beds are very comfortable. The pool area is comfortable and the pool is warm. Beach access is easy and nearby restaurants are great. Beyond these perks, what sets this property apart is the staff. Every hotel staff member you encounter is kind, engaged, and working hard to make your stay perfect. The staff all act as though they are part property owners and are so motivated to take care of you as their guests. They know you by name and easily accommodate your requests. It’s a remarkable team. Among them, Jasleen, Mason, Lauren, Dane, Madelyn, Christian, Saba, Jake, Alexa, Chris, and Meredith all really stood out this time. I’m probably missing some people too. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Great relaxing stay at Pacific Terrace. Oceanfront and on the beach walk. Easy walking distance to numerous “beachy” type restaurants and pubs. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Food was delicious. Oceanfront pool very clean and well maintained. All hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. We love Pacific Beach and will not hesitate to come back to Pacific Terrace Hotel.

Pacific Terrace is an amazing hotel to stay in the Pacific Beach area. The staff and service were extremely helpful, the food was great, the pool was refreshing and the views...cannot beat it! So many food/coffee/sweet treats all within walking distant too. Can't wait to go back!

The location is great, the beachside proximity to restaurants while still being far enough that it’s quiet. It’s not just the location - the people, every person I interfaced with was genuine, caring, helpful and pleasant. It’s evident that the hotel instills this in its fabric. I wish I captured all of the names, but know that all were fantastic. We only had beverages (no food) but can say they were good as was the staff. Our unit was first level walk out and was lovely. The rooms and housekeeping were very intentional. Great job to all. Will be back! Thank you team.
