Hawaiian island experience by the ocean with breathtaking views

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Breathtaking, exterior design and landscaping, enough amenities and outdoor activities to keep you busy for weeks, amazing friendly staff that is helpful in any situation, the room was beautiful. It was large and it had everything that you need short of your toothbrush and toothpaste if you’re in San Diego and you would like to have a Hawaiian island experience and relaxation. This is definitely the place for you. You will not find a better hotel to stay in with better staff or better services

Pretty setting but not so pretty at the pool.

Paradise Point Resort is certainly a beautiful place. It's very lush and tropical with the Mission Bay surrounding it. I went on a day trip with friends and we had access to the pool. We went to the Lagoon pool which is number 12 on their map. Unfortunately the lounge chairs around the pool were all moldy and the pads on them were painfully thin and not comfortable at all. We had to untie pads from other chairs and put them on top of our chairs so they would be comfortable because the pads were so thin. The bathroom was almost out of toilet paper and we had to call twice to get more toilet paper. We had a great time but I was very disappointed in the upkeep of the facility, or at least the Lagoon pool, where we spent a lot of our time. Do they really need to have mold on all the lounge chairs? It was kind of disgusting.

I believe there pet friendly is not friendly at all .you come to a resort to do things and bring your pet to but you may not leave your pet not for dinner not to sailing not to boat not nothing! That’s not pet friendly they say traveling with pets is like traveling with kids lol so can my kids go out to dinner can they go swimming or on a boat yes but can my dog ?? NO !! Warning kennel your pet before you travel here ! My trip of 3000$ here but stay in the room lol can’t leave your pet in a room alone even if in a kennel ! That’s not pet friendly

Great place…. But there are a few things you should know…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This place is nice. But there are things you should know before booking. My adult daughter and I came on a girl’s trip. The grounds are lovely and there are birds everywhere. It’s tropical and beautiful. However, this place is overrun by children. This place is IDEAL for families but if you are wanting an adult getaway… this might not be the place. I think we were the only people on the property without small children! Unless you enjoy the continuous sound of “MOM Watch Me!!!!” by a pool and getting splashed by other people’s children, this might not be the place. There is an adult pool but its super small and we could never get a chair. The rooms have paper thin walls. We heard EVERYTHING from the family next door and they weren't even loud…. When they would speak it was as if they were in our room. And we also felt like we needed to be overly quiet as well so as not to disturb them! The staff were super friendly. Extremely attentive. In fact, some people were in the pool one day and one of them actually worked there. We overheard them talk about how much they loved working there and how well the staff is treated. He said he had great benefits and they take extremely good care of their employees. He even said they helped pay for continuing education. That was nice to hear. I was happy we were supporting a place that cared so deeply for their employees. Also they have a weird resort fee which makes no sense to me. But overall we had a pleasant stay. We had just hoped for more adult options. It’s great for families!

Great family destination with a secluded feel to it.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This was our first time here at this resort and for families looking for something tropical with a wonderful secluded feel this is the place. 5 pools, mini golf, gift shops, and two restaurants, not to mention conveniently located in Mission Bay near SeaWorld. Two items to consider are 1) Many rooms are overlooking the bay, but many are not. 2) With only two restaurants they can get busy, especially on the weekends. I definitely recommend Bare Foot grill over the other.
