We just hosted a family reunion / birthday celebration at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. We had a fabulous time. The property is beautiful, rooms are very comfortable, food is great, and the service is outstanding! Lisa Lawrence was the agent at the hotel who worked with us to plan the event, beginning six months ago. She has been incredibly friendly and helpful. She is knowledgable on all aspects of the hotel's amenities, and provided great suggestions on how to make the most of our time at the resort. I highly recommend the Rancho Bernardo Inn, and Lisa specifically, for enjoying a great vacation in the greater San Diego area!

We’ve been loyal guests at this exceptional resort for many years during our annual Boyz Golf Getaway. Each visit reminds us why we return — timeless charm, gracious hospitality, outstanding cuisine, and a world-class golf course. Truly a first-class experience from start to finish.

I had excellent service from Jen K and Dylan and they made several complicated coffee drinks. Also, the pastries were delicious.

Upon arrival, I was absolutely stunned by the gorgeous views and architecture of the lobby. From check in, to my first night in the room, I was comfortable and happy with my choice in stay while in the San Diego area for a wedding. I slept better than I have in a long time and on top of that I actually forgot I was in a room away from home when I woke up. Such comfort and cleanliness left nothing to be desired. I will, anytime im in the area, decide to stay at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was the most beautiful, memorable experience. It is a pleasure to write this review. My boyfriend won a voucher for a 2 night stay here a few years ago at a holiday company party. He was single at the time and wasn’t able to use it before it expired. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary in San Diego, so he thought it was worth a shot to call the hotel and ask if they’d honor the expired voucher. And surprise! They did. They were more than accommodating. The check-in process was smooth. The front desk agent was very informative about the property. They gave us a map and printout of all available amenities and any information we might need. When we saw our room we were absolutely blown away. We are convinced they gave us the best room in the hotel which, in case you’re curious, was room 421 in the Valencia. It faces west with a beautiful balcony… need I say more? They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and a little card congratulating us on our anniversary. We felt so welcomed and they were so accommodating with some requests that they might not get very often, including asking for a single birthday candle and some extra plates (for our anniversary cake). Our true hero of the trip was Joanne, the overnight agent at the front desk. We were sad to leave the hotel at the end of our trip, and we even talked about how much we would miss Joanne. Joanne accommodated every single request and was so warm and kind. My boyfriend, who also works as a front desk agent at a hotel in LA, said “She was so good at her job I’m inspired to go back and do better myself.” Thank you Joanne for giving us the best customer experience I think we’ve ever had!!! In sum, everything about the hotel was fantastic. But I think my favorite detail is that the gift shop sells a candle called “The Lobby” that smells exactly like the hotel lobby. It’s such a delightful smell, I kept commenting on how much I loved it every time we walked through. Smell is the most powerful memory trigger and now, when we light the candle, we are flooded with nostalgia from our beautiful trip. Thank you Rancho Bernardo Inn. Next years anniversary has VERY big shoes to fill! Pro-tip: The front desk sells s’mores kits that you can use at the fire pits around the grounds!

Rancho Bernardo is one of the most enchanting inns in the U.S. The fountains are well worth the attention they command in artwork. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable beyond belief. Absolutely love this piece of heaven.
