Gorgeous resort! The Server I had for dinner a couple nights was not as friendly as expected especially for a person traveling alone. Overall, amazing place to stay!

Stayed for a weekend afternoon and evening recently and we’re so impressed with the hotel. Enjoy a wonderful dinner in advance – great food and wonderful service.

Our family recently returned from a stay at Rancho Bernardo Inn, and it truly exceeded our expectations—again. This was our second visit (our first was when our son was four and now nine), and now returning with our four- and five-year-olds made the experience even more special. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and welcoming. The bellman set the tone right away—genuinely kind, helpful, and engaging without being overbearing. It was such a refreshing and pleasant start to our stay. What really stood out was the attention to detail. The team acknowledged a note I had left prior to arrival and went above and beyond to meet our requests. Our room was perfectly located near the pool, and they added thoughtful touches for the kids like tents and s’mores kits waiting for us. We were also welcomed with a beautiful fruit board and Pellegrino, which made the arrival feel even more special and elevated. The room itself was spotless. I travel with my own cleaning supplies (so I definitely check!), and I couldn’t find a single area that was overlooked. High-touch areas were clean, and the overall upkeep was impressive. One of the things I loved most about this property is its charm. While the décor may not be ultra-modern, it has a beautiful Spanish-inspired style that feels authentic to San Diego. It strikes that rare balance of being warm and inviting without feeling outdated—something that can be hard to achieve on a larger property like this. The room was also more spacious than expected, which made a big difference for our family. Service throughout our stay was excellent. We ordered room service every morning, and while there were a couple of small hiccups with substitutions, any issues we brought up were handled immediately and professionally. The staff didn’t just fix things—they went above and beyond to make it right, which we really appreciated. Housekeeping also deserves a special mention. Even though we didn’t cross paths often, the attention to detail was clear. Towels were always refreshed based on what we had used, and everything was consistently well cared for—something that doesn’t always happen, but definitely stood out here. The pool setup is perfect for families. The family pool was lively and fun for the kids, but there are also quieter options, including an adults-only pool and a spa pool if you’re looking to relax. There were even lawn games set up around the property, which added to the overall atmosphere.

Alma, Benjamin, Mandy and everyone at RB made this a such relaxing and special trip. A mic needed stay after a long business trip. Couldn’t recommend enough!
