Great stay!
I checked in about two weeks ago for a group event, and it was a wonderful experience! The front desk team was incredibly welcoming, and I wanted to give a special shout-out to Isabel, who checked me in. She kindly suggested I get luggage assistance, which was a fantastic idea. Nathaniel helped me to my room, and his service was top-notch! I can't wait to return, especially when I have more free time to enjoy the amenities. The veranda offers a stunning view of the golf course, making it the perfect spot to relax. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great getaway!

Misleading, outdated and understaffed
I booked two rooms including breakfast, to find out that I only have a $60 credit per room which doesnt go towards taxes, fees and tips, and wasnt enough to order enough for me and my family. I basically ended up paying extra for food that was horrible. If I had known that I would have rather have a discount and ordered breakfast somewhere else. In addition the breakfast restaurant was heavily understaffed. Tons of table available but they kept telling everyone it was a 20min wait and that we needed a reservation. I dont want to make a reservation for breakfast when I am staying at a hotel. I want to go when I feel like it. Thats the whole point of being on vacation. The hot water was not working in one of our rooms and overall the rooms were old and outdated. Very disappointed for it being an Amex Hotel Collection resport. Will definetely not come again.

Another fun getaway at RB in San Diego.
Enjoyed a weekend at RB. Have stayed before and always enjoy the Southern California charm. Fun golf course kept in good condition. Good relaxed restaurants to choose from and beautiful amenities area. I highly recommend.

Slipping
My experience with RBi goes back many years in a professional capacity, as a meeting planner that has booked conferences at the venue. I was excited to return in a personal capacity for some R&R, but found the overall experience has slipped. The room was a bit tired with things like a malfunctioning lamp, a cabinet door coming unhinged, etc. Housekeeping didn’t refresh glassware or coffee. Spa rates are high and the locker room filthy and lacking basics (combs). Wouldn’t take much to restore to what it once was, hopefully RBI will pay a little more attention to detail.

Rancho Bernardo is one of the most enchanting inns in the U.S. The fountains are well worth the attention they command in artwork. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable beyond belief. Absolutely love this piece of heaven.
