Had a great experience with this hotel! Room was comfortable and the balcony had a great view out to the city. Went to the bar for dinner and had a great time with both Rooster & Octavio! Both were super friendly and provided fantastic service.

My husband and I came and stayed last weekend for our anniversary. We had a really great experience. The hotel was clean & the staff was great, specifically Sophia at the front. She really went out of her way to make our experience memorable! She was helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. My husband is an ambassador with Marriott so we have stayed at a lot of different hotels the past 15+ years. Sophia stood out to us! We will definitely come back.

A special thank you to Yvette Martinez and Paula Arango-Quintero for helping arrange a room block and post wedding brunch for our son’s wedding. They were so easy to work with and accommodating in every way. The brunch was held in the beautiful Desmond room. Alfredo, the catering manager made sure every detail was perfect. The food was so delicious and the room was perfectly set up to accommodate our group. A special thank you to Mario and Jorge our amazing servers, and Heather our bartender who took such good care of all of us. The “soft landing” after the wedding was the perfect way to end the weekend. We can’t thank you enough!

Alma was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in San Diego. I am fairly well traveled and have stayed just about everywhere in SD. The facility was beautiful, the room had the most beautiful view, and the breakfast was delicious. The number 1 thing that stood out to me was the staff. Sophia checked us in and was of constant help throughout out our stay. She gave great recommendations and knowledgeable about the downtown area. The greatest thing about Sofia was her personality and her kindness. She went above and beyond for us at every turn. You can have a beautiful hotel but the place can still lack heart. Sophia was the heart and soul of Alma. Because of her the Alma work be the only hotel we stay at when we are in town. Thank you Sophia for making our trip so memorable 💓

We recently stayed here for our BlueModus Day work retreat, and everything about the experience was outstanding. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and clearly well-maintained, but what really stood out was the staff. Everyone was friendly and kind, and they made our two-day event seamless. A special shoutout to Yvette Martinez, Paula Arango-Quintero, and Yesika Lavyn, who went above and beyond in helping plan and execute our retreat—no detail was overlooked. The food was excellent, from our poolside reception dinner to each breakfast and lunch. This is not only a fantastic place to stay, but also an ideal venue for hosting events. Highly recommend.
