About the Hotel
The Westgate Hotel is located minutes away from the airport and the San Diego Convention Center, just steps from the trolley/train station, and is readily accessible by freeway. Within walking distance is the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Opera, the Symphony, Horton Plaza shops and Gaslamp Quarter energy. Designed as a re-creation of an anteroom in the Palace of Versailles, the Grand Lobby is noted for its magnificent antiques, Baccarat crystal chandeliers, Flemish and French tapestries and Persian carpets. The Westgate is considered a one-of-a-kind hotel. Completed in 1970, it was filled with a certain timeless elegance that is considered not to be readily found anywhere else in the San Diego, California area.

Great place to stay
Gorgeous hotel. Old style looking but modern in amenities. Centrally located and within walking distance to public transport. Roof top bar, pool and spa are lovely. Bed was super comfy and room was huge

Great staycation
My daughter and I had a great time at the Westgate Hotel. Friendly staff loved my big room very clean and comfortable. Sarah at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and nice. Wonderful staycation for my daughter. Will tell all my friends and family about it
