About the Hotel
The Westgate Hotel is located minutes away from the airport and the San Diego Convention Center, just steps from the trolley/train station, and is readily accessible by freeway. Designed as a re-creation of an anteroom in the Palace of Versailles, the Grand Lobby is noted for its magnificent antiques, Baccarat crystal chandeliers, Flemish and French tapestries and Persian carpets. The Westgate is considered a one-of-a-kind hotel. Completed in 1970, it was filled with a certain timeless elegance that is considered not to be readily found anywhere else in the San Diego, California area.

Fantastic experience
A fantastic overnight stay at this hidden gem. A beautiful property with great rooms and a really nice pool deck. Joe at the front desk assisted by Sophia couldn't have been more accommodating. He was able to give us an early check in and without being asked gave us a late check out. On top of that we were given a nice bottle of wine. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent. Our new favorite hotel in San Diego.

Good experience, great front desk team
Great experience. Nice outdoors facilities and comfortable room. Best of all the attention received from Sarah and Erik on the front desk team. They are the kind of employees you want to deal with. I will come back for sure.
