About the Hotel
The Westgate Hotel is located minutes away from the airport and the San Diego Convention Center, just steps from the trolley/train station, and is readily accessible by freeway. Within walking distance is the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Opera, the Symphony, Horton Plaza shops and Gaslamp Quarter energy. Designed as a re-creation of an anteroom in the Palace of Versailles, the Grand Lobby is noted for its magnificent antiques, Baccarat crystal chandeliers, Flemish and French tapestries and Persian carpets. The Westgate is considered a one-of-a-kind hotel. Completed in 1970, it was filled with a certain timeless elegance that is considered not to be readily found anywhere else in the San Diego, California area.

Amazing experience
WOW! This hotel experience has been one of my favorites. The elegance of the hotel gives you that European feel/Bridgerton experience. The staff was friendly and prompt and the front desk Manager has this amazing bubbly personality and makes you feel at home(5 stars). They have an amazing Spa and Gym for all you Gym aficionados! I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego

SD Visit
We had a pleasant stay. Sara was very helpful and provided us great customer service. The rooms were very clean and beds were super comfortable. Will stay here again on our next visit to SD. Thank you Sara and westgate hotel we had a great stay. See you guys next time!

I absolutely love this hotel and especially Sarah at the front desk. She rxplained all abot tje hotel the history and all the amenities. I will tell all friends aboit this place

Elegant Refined Haven
Having been left stranded at San Diego airport due to a flight cancellation, on a recommendation we tried the Westgate. We arrived and the lobby staff took pity on us and couldn’t have been kinder. What a shame we only stayed the one night! The hotel is elegant, calm and the lady at the check-in desk was super efficient and our star was George. If we ever go back to San Diego - the Westgate will be our first stop!
