About the Hotel

Hotel Zelos San Francisco (formerly the Hotel Palomar) resides in the historic Pacific Building, which opened in 1907. The Pacific Building was originally built as office space, however, the 5th to 9th floors became the Hotel Palomar in 1999. Due to the original layout, the guestrooms are larger than the average hotel room in San Francisco.

Reviews for Hotel Zelos San Francisco

Such an affordable getaway!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Our stay was so amazing! We flew in early and was scared we would have to wait all day in order to check in but Jeff was able to accommodate us! He was so nice and super helpful with information! Only thing was we think we experienced flee bites because it is a pet friendly hotel but I called and they made sure to deep clean the room after I asked! Overall such a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

Sweet Suites at Zelos !!

Sweet Suites at Zelos As I entered the hotel lobby, Jasmine at the front desk greeted me by name, welcomed me back as I’ve stayed here before. She had a room ready for me. Check in was seamless and allowed me to check in early. Stayed at a room on the street side 4th street room 502. Although you can’t open the windows, this helped insulate and minimize street noise. It was surprisingly quiet. Dirty Habit is on the same floor and very close to room 502. On Fridays and Saturday nights, in the early evenings, music can be heard in the room but it does taper down early at about 8 to 9 ish. I did not hear it on Sunday night so I assume it’s only on the weekends. It wasn’t a big deal for me as I was out for most of it. I loved the large bay windows in room 502 kept the room bright and airy (blockout curtains kept it dark at night). 2 closets and a mini fridge is a plus. The bed is very comfortable, and the pillows are just perfect (not too full and not flat). Rooms are spotless, love the double vanity in the bathroom provides you with plenty of counter space. If you need a quieter room (I previously stayed at room 805) ask for a courtyard view that has a better layout with the bathroom located on the other side of the bedroom separated by the sitting area, which is a huge plus. Both rooms are really nice, just depending on your preference. Hotel Zelos is a solid choice for suites. Large suites and in the center of everything. Very close to MOMA, Yerba Buena, Moscone Center, Trader Joe’s is next door, Whole Foods just about a ten minute walk on 4th street, Union Square a short 5-8 minute walk and Ferry Building, about 15 minute walk. A welcoming front desk. Valet parking is also available.

Second time staying at this hotel. Great location, wonderful staff, nice and clean accommodations. Anish at the check in desk is attentive, professional, and super friendly. Will stay here every time I come to SF.

I stayed here a few times and love love love the place. This is my favorite hotel hands down. This corporation know how to build beautiful artistic hotels. Every detail was carefully chosen. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and soap is better than all other hotels I’ve been in. Oh btw, go to their bar for the best selection of whiskeys. Stay here is you want an excellent hotel experience.
