This was not just our best hotel stay in San Francisco, it may be one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had while traveling. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and spoiled. The hotel smell is unmatched, and our room was luxurious and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful personal touches like a teapot with coffee and tea bags. The shower products smelled heavenly, and the overall ambiance made us feel like we were on cloud nine. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and the hotel surprised us with complimentary champagne, a gesture that made our stay even more special. After having to unexpectedly leave our other hotel under difficult circumstances, being welcomed here felt like pure relief and joy. The staff made the experience unforgettable. Zhaylah at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful, and Marianne in guest services, Sherry (I hope I am not forgetting her name) the maid, and everyone we encountered were professional, personable, and truly caring. We wish we could have stayed longer and will absolutely return. This hotel is exceptional in every way. We also wished we'd brought more cash so we could tip the valet attendants more often as well. They were great to work with too.

A very nice experience. Used to stay at hotels in SF closer to Fishmen's Wharf, but this is my new norm after this stay. The person who checked me in was Tecla who was so nice and pleasant (and also checked the rooms possibility). The associate morale seemed so positive with everyone I encountered. I am an ambassador level (ergo I have traveled quite a bit) - this a good hotel to consider when in SF.

We were staying in San Francisco one night before heading to Monterey. Our stay was short, but enjoyable. The room was very nice and had a great view. I would say it was one of the nicest Autograph Collection hotels we have stayed in. One of the details of the room I was very impressed with was a light that came on underneath the bed when the room lights were out and you got out of bed. It was a really cool night light. We will definitely stay here again if we go to San Francisco.

The Jay Autograph Hotel has a funky design, reminiscent of the 1970s. It is situated in the Financial District. Conveniently located next to many restaurants, shops, and attractions, it was a prime area to stay during our two nights in San Francisco! Although the hotel was renovated two years prior, it could use a refresh (especially the removal of the worn out carpet). Cleaning could have been a little better. Nonetheless, we had an enjoyable time in San Francisco thanks to the convenient location of the Jay. Definitely check out the Third Floor Bar and Lounge- amazing drinks!
