The Jay was a great property in a fabulous location. The staff was super helpful and attentive. I would recommend and will certainly stay when visiting next.

I had a lovely three-night stay at the Jay. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating to requests - excellent customer service. My room was massive and very comfortable, I was kindly upgraded after arriving very late at night after a 9 hour flight. I wish I hadn't been in so many meetings and could have spent more time hanging out in the perfectly curated living room. In-room breakfast was delicious and arrived quickly. I would return to the Jay.

Fantastic and beautiful property, great for a visit downtown. Excellent bar and high quality service. We had a nice upgrade to a suite which was perfect for us as we needed to have a dog sitter stay in our room while we went out to a concert.

This location is in the Financial (Downtown) district which is close to the Ferry Building (5 minutes walking). This hotel is on a corner and when you reach the front door, you can tell it is a "fancy" hotel. The doorman will greet you and the door is made of Wood which I love. You take the elevators to the third floor and from there, you will go to the front desk. The staff will greet you with a smile and they are quick! They call me by my last name and asked if there's anything they can assist me with even after we checked in. Now our flight landed EARLY. I mean 7AM early and check in is not until 4PM. So we had time to kill. They were able to hold onto our bags while we explore the city but wouldn't you know it, within about an hour or so, our room was ready. They texted/called and by the time we came back, the room was ready with our bags. How cool was that. I was nervous because we have kids under 9 and they were restless and COLD. So they wanted to get into the room ASAP. We stepped in and it is clean, beautiful and just really well laid out. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of room for a family of 4. Amenities include coffee machine and some toiletries but if you forgot something, call to front desk and they can provide. I think we got toothpaste from them. Great service. Let's talk about food and drinks here. They have 1 restaurant and 1 bar. Which is totally fine by me. They don't have much kid friendly choices but that's ok. We were in downtown surrounded with many options. OVERALL? I love this place and would definitely come back!

The bed was delicious and I liked the pillows also - slept great. As others have said the higher the room the nicer. Def agree with the reviewer that said you get nickled and dimed here. Seriously, Jay, no coffee or free water for your guests? What the heck. The lobby isn't even downstairs so not having morning coffee is really gross. And I wasn't thrilled that your coffee bar is basically someone serving a coffee maker coffee that could be done in the hotel room. The parking thing is atrocious and expensive ($80) but easy and nice to know car is safe. No pool. Guess it was ok - I think it is more for people going to something at the Embarcadero. We had a simple room the first night and then a nice executive bay view which was lovely the second. Besides the view the executive had a nice sitting couch. All else the same. REALLY dislike when the food for sale takes up the real estate of both the fridge and the counter - that is icky. Also, no prices that are easy to find and it was unclear if water was free or not. OH - and I also had the lights go out in the bathroom like other reviewers. Change the time setting.
